  1. I hope he doesn't copy Brodie Grundy's hairdo and sport the Sinneman bun.
  2. That Hawthorn "fan" should certainly be embarrassed by their ignorance! Sounds like a bandwagon supporter who has been quiet for the past few years but will no doubt come out of hibernation if the Hawks continue their renaissance.
  3. Robert Campbell. Robert, who was on our rookie list in 2011, finished up at Hawthorn in 2009 (a few years before the threepeat). He did play in Hawthorn's premiership in 2008. As has been mentioned, "our" Tom never played for Hawthorn. There's still time, however.
  4. The Rolling Stones started out as a Blues cover band, so Jagga to Carlton seems like a natural fit.
  5. How are things in Camberwell today, Chris? You might want to read my post again, but move your lips more slowly in an effort to comprehend what I said.
  6. Can't believe this is your first post for a couple of years, @faultydet. Where ya been?

It's nice that Kalani is wearing his dad's girdle. Gotta love a bit of tradition.
  8. I have always believed that it was unintended. I know most of you think otherwise. Maynard, on the other hand ...

The reactions on this site if Peter Bell got the gig would be something to behold.
  10. I think the lack of responses tells you all you need to know.
  11. What do posters see as Riak's strengths, apart from being Mac's brother?
  12. If a further change of non de plume is forthcoming, may I humbly suggest the classic C & W tune ... "Ghostwriter's In Disguise" (Yippie-yi-o! Yippie-yi-yay!)
  13. A mongrel can add quite a bit of extra size.
  14. I'm sure I read somewhere that Casey has been unavailable due to resurfacing or some other type of work being carried out on the ground.
  15. Pragmatist: somebody's going to have to wash that bloody glass you know.
  16. Luker Kentfield. I fell for the same trap myself.
  17. Horse replaced by Big Cox in a like for like transition.
  18. That's correct. I know a family with that surname and that is how they pronounce it. Commentators will be tongue-tied if he ever lines up on Owies.
  19. It would appear that I'm a little late to this party, but somebody has already blown out the candles on the cake. Kudos and three cheers to you @Witches Hat for taking the time and making the effort to compile your team. I'll be quite content to remain in retirement and look forward to others having a go.

I don't think that's Glenferrie, as Hawthorn stopped playing there in 1973. It's more likely to be Princes Park which was Hawthorn's "home" ground in 1989.
  21. I sincerely hope that his surname doesn't rhyme with "cough".
  22. Our oldest ex-player and looking extremely well for his age. This is from the MFC site a couple of years ago. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1208539/demon-spirit-oldest-living-dees-journey
  23. What will be the new Rick role?
  24. Bomberblitz have a "Melbourne Deathride" thread and their consensus is that we'll finish near the bottom. I'm much more inclined to agree with @WERRIDEE. We haven't lost a game for three months!
