It's been a long time coming, but how good is it when it's hard to determine vote winners for all the right reasons?
  2. I reserve a special cognac for after a great win. Currently enjoying my first taste since 2018. Delicious!
  3. You underestimate Clarkson's experience and wyliness at your peril, but we have youth and talent, and (to a degree) form on our side. I have high hopes that we 'crossed the Rubicon' last weekend, and that the confidence and self-belief gained from that win will stand us in good stead today.
  4. ........ so 11 changes to the 22 (50%) who fronted up for us last night.
  5. Baby steps, but everyone knows how important these are for belief and self-confidence. First game in a hub, first win in a hub .....
  6. 6. Gawn 5. Oliver 4. Viney 3. Langdon 2. Hibberd 1. Salem
  7. I'm enjoying the 'smidge' of optimism in this thread. It's lifted my spirits, and I'm now looking forward to tonight's game. Long live the Demonland optimists.
  8. I like the improved personnel and structure.
  9. I thought the interview with someone who should know us as well as anyone, was outstanding. I'm all in favor of simple solutions.
  10. We probably need a 'no sex policy' at Melbourne.
  11. Thanks Tiers, for a positive post coming on top of the junk most of the team served up yesterday.
  12. Musical chairs (?) Pin the tail on the donkey(?) Whatever!
  13. 6. Hibberd 5. Petracca 4. Gawn 3. Hannan 2. May 1. Fritsch
  14. From that lot, I'd like to see OMac, Hunt, Lockhart and Brown in the final 22.
  15. Outstanding interview with G. Bartlett. Thanks guys!
  16. The MFC has always been a huge part of my life. I've been lucky enough to enjoy a few premierships along the way, but #13 will bring more joy than all the others combined. I thought the merger in '96 would to kill off my dreams, but against the odds, we survived that to fight another day. I'll continue to support them in every way I can, for as long as I can, but time is running out. C'mon Dees ......... its time for a return on my financial and emotional investments.
  17. Bloody Hell, I'm glad it's McKenna and not Kossie or Spargo.
  18. Apparently McKenna was in Ireland and did his 14 days in quarantine. Only returned to training last week.
  19. Still reporting on ABC, and confirming that 4:00pm presser is till going ahead. Very strong speculation that Dees vs Bombers game will be postponed.
  20. 6. Petracca 5. Gawn 4. Oliver 3. Salem 2. Hunt 1. Langdon
  21. I don't think we will see Hibbo in R.2. Total speculation on my part, but the tragedy in his personal life during the break must have had an impact on his training program / preparation, and if that's the case, I doubt we will select him. Maybe this opens the door for Smith or Riv.
  22. Casey with no wind. That's novel!
  23. Nothing wrong with a player / leader showing a bit of 'individuality', unless they let it get in the way of performance, and every follower of the AFL (except Hutchy!) knows that that won't happen with Max.
  24. I'm a long-term Redlegs member who lives interstate. I always regard my annual membership as a donation to the best football club in the world. Nothing has changed.
  25. You are a good man Andy ...... but no footy, living interstate, and self isolating (on 70+ age grounds), I need the Demonland banter! Keep up the great work!
