I'd like to thank William for his upcoming wedding; the Virgin Islands has declared an additional public holiday in celebration! Now if we can belt the Swans my week will be complete.

www.afl.aussiesport.tv is pretty good. They have replays of every game (usually up in a day or so) and include other bits and pieces. I'm in the Virgin Islands and simply can't get anything on TV here (except for the GF).

I grew up in Shepparton, which was in Melbourne's recruiting zone at the time. My old man supported Geelong, but I'm told he encouraged me to follow Melbourne "just in case" I was a footballer. My own kids didn't have a chance - signed up as Melbourne members from birth. Although we live a long way from Australia, they know their Demons and I'm now teaching them to hate the Filth etc using footy cards as teaching aids.

I've got a Sherrin that was signed by the team after a round 1 game at Kardinia Park. Back in 1994 I think. I recall it was Jeff Farmer's first game. Loved going to watch that guy play. Also a match worn guernsey signed by David Neitz (from a Hawthorn game in 2000).

Thanks also to Cameron from the BVI Demons Supporter Group. I love what I am seeing at Melbourne at the moment. Progress. On the field and off the field. I called someone back in Australia earlier this week who told me Melbourne were "no good" again on the weekend. I can ensure you I climbed in and gave them a lecture on progress. Sorry mum.

I try to get my oldest boy to wear his Demons gear to school here in Tortola whenever he can. No one has a clue who the Demons are in this part of the world of course, except the new sports teacher told him the other day that he used to play for Richmond...will have to get more details!

I imagine Carroll and Melb FC had different views as to whether the contract was breached. Neither of them wanted to head to court for an answer, hence the settlement.

Hi to all. My name is Matt and I am 35 years old (shudder). I am a lawyer and live in the Virgin Islands, along with my wife and two kids. One of the great things about living outside Australia at the moment is that it has allowed me to completely brainwash the kids in following the Demons. No nasty young Collingwood supporters here to point out the realities of ladder position! I am now teaching them to reserve special hatred for particular opposition teams. My favourite Demon memories would include the 87 preseason GF win (and wearing my tatty old Demon jumper to school the next day), Garry Lyon kicking a bag in a final against the Dogs and a couple of finals wins against Carlton.

I'm a gold member (even though I've lived in the Caribbean and London for 3-4 of those years). 4 yo son is a silver member and 5 month old is a new member Go Dees!

Speaking of international memberships, the MFC now has 3 fully paid up members in the British Virgin Islands. Practically half the island!
