  1. Would you select colour film, or would you rather go with the simplicity of classic black and white?
  2. I'm with you Cesc, last year we were a premiership favourite...and now its the spoon? Lets not get too manic depressive, we can be a dangerous side this year, and I think overall we can look forward to a more positive season than 07
  3. Whilst tongue-in-cheek RR you might actually be on to something there with the scratchies...or something along those lines. E.g. "members only" pool, first MFC goal kicker each quarter, $10.00 a throw....96% return to punters, 4% for the club.
  4. Yes, and it again highlights the backline conundrum when Rivers is not in the mix. Some things I'd like to see Chapman V Cheney...big challenge but a great litmus test, two hard nuts Hawkins V Zomer / Martin...all raw, all big Mooney V whoever...DB's response to this challenge will be fascinating to see. Roll on Saturday
  5. Not bad...question mark over carrying 4 ruckmen though
  6. I know grimes is injured and Maric probably school commitments but yeah Morton? Anyone?
  7. By golly Golly your right! Momentum and confidence are two powerful forces that deserted us last year. We need faith & hope...because we can't rely on the AFL's charity!
  8. Mousey...you have a point...I look out onto the light towers of the G and can walk to the ground in 30 minutes, thats OK for me. My brother - who sadly supports the Cartel Football Club - lives 3 & 1/2 hours drive from the G and yet still the chronic overpricers of cardboard request he pay a small fortune for his membership. I think what's fairer is a sliding scale for country/interstate members whereby they recieve an increasing sliding scale discount according to the distance they are away from the clubs home ground. At least this way long distance members get a fairer deal, and would be more inclined to continue their membership subscriptions.
  9. To a point yes, nearing the finals...definately. 6 weeks out from the start of the season, well thats questionable. I thinks whats frustrating for fans is if your hear so much fluff that you stop bothering to tune in to club "announcements". Early last year I was just hanging out for "my boy Jared" [and Bartam] to get back on the park and give us something to cheer about, I recall how frustrating it was with all the 426 nonsense. It was like being promised Jessica Alba for Easter and ending up with Oprah for Christmas.
  10. Ay Carumba...whats happening to our midfield? And who do you think will play through the centre come Saturday? Candidates: Jones, Valenti, Dunn, Bell, Sylvia, Morton, Yze...who else...will we rest Junior now that McLean, Bruce and Moloney have their feet up?
  11. And we can give Jace Bode Dutchy's old number when he retires
  12. Bloody thing didnt attach...."missed by that much"
  13. Just makes things bloody awkward for all parties concerned...as per attachment
  14. OVER THE MOON Just checked Brad Miller's player profile on the MFC website 2001 National Draft 4th Round Selection...OK Big deal, "so what" I hear you say...but wait, there's more: Traded by Geelong for Brent Grgic Frosty...all is forgiven, wherever you play, however you play, wherever you go, thank you very much!
  15. Sure does...just didnt think he was that generous
  16. 4th or 5th round pick...he would have paid that much?
  17. Day flags won by the MFC are the only flags that count.
  18. Too bloody right Tony Melb. Whats better than beating Collingwood by 10 goals?....beating them by 1 point! Keep the passion burning.
  19. It mean to read Paul Roos saw something [sentance makes sense that way] ...Roos went in for Miller in the off-season, must think there's something there. As for the value of Paul Roos's opinion, he is a premiership winning coach...last man we had who could say that was called Norm. As for Miller at FB...well he kicks like a backman
  20. 2. If that doesn't convince her, bail her up in a corner and tickle her until she concedes defeat. Thank you oh flatulent elder. One tactic which seems to be working [through howls of protest] is singing the club song ad nauseum in car during long trips. Now I know that this sort of behaviour was what they tried to stamp out in the Hague post WW2...but i dont care. The fiance/victim/target was just this morning overheard humming "its a grand old flag" in the shower this morning. Just goes to show that a great history, jumper, and song should never be underestimated! "Keep your eye on the red and the blue"
  21. How about we just call him "Kenny"
  22. Miller is going to have to earn his stripes where ever he can scratch a game, leadership group or not.
  23. I guess a lot of us are still concerned about Robbo's knees and the harder February surfaces.
  24. Damn right we do, with the AFL still giving us assistance we are like the little gingerbread man being swum across the river by a fox! We need to get this point across to anyone we reckons their heart beats true. Otherwise, with global warming et al, there will be no skiing, no polar bears...and NO MELBOURNE DEMONS So get your mates on board now!
