Farewell Clayton Oliver
Glad you think there will be good times again! I admire your supreme optimism very much. Sadly, we are only going to go one way, downhill. We just don't have the cattle to go upwards.

Still one of our best despite nat being at his very top level. Saw signs of that high level in the final match of the season. Then the big boot! Strange indeed.

Absolutely spot on Norm. This club administration is beyond belief. A player as good as Clarry being virtually given away free. I can hear the Giants laughing so loudly at our incompetence. After 65 years of membership I am joining with a few of my mates in refusing to renew my membership next season. Sad, I know, but that's how we feel. Of course, we will always be demons but now we can't see much hope of improvement for a long long time.

Club put Clarry through the ringer. He had every right to spit the dummy after the way the club treated him. Natural, human reaction. Thanks Mr King.

You know this for sure Norm?

Swap for Langdon? NO NO NO NO!

Apart from being very outspoken about getting booted out of the club (and he had good reason to be hurt), what has Clarry done off field this year to upset the club? Anyone know?

Another McKenzie! I like that.

He would have the main say. That's for sure. He is the boss.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Clarry, in a late season interview, talked about how he was looking forward to further developing our new game plan in 2026. He sounded excited by the thought. The along comes Mr King and his cohorts.

Beautifully put 58er. You have summed up the Clarry situation perfectly. Thanks for your words.

DR Gonzo declined to accept my challenge. Hmm!😄

Sorry VJ. No way in the world I would laugh at your sincere comments about Clarry. Meant to tap the love button. I think you know like many, he was my favourite player.

Assistant Coaches in 2026
Welcome back home Jared. A great Demon. Nearly 200 AFL games as a vey competitive and attacking defender.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
He went pretty close to his best in the last game against Collingwood. . Why are you so sure he can't be the champion again? Do you know something about his personal life? Cheers.

Dr Gonzo seems to think what I said was amusing as he does often. I challenge him to disprove my points about Richmond, Clarry embraced by his team mates and playing with maximum effort in all his games. Up to you Doc!

As I said before, Richmond overcame bad culture issues and took out 2 premierships on the way. It is what happens on the playing field. Do you think Clarry was not embraced by his teammates? It struck me he was popular. Did he not put in full efforts when playing for the Demons?

Push him out we certainly did. New broom sweeps in and states, 'You are our best midfielder, but we are moving you to an untried role. Take or leave it!' It was just a cowardly way of kicking him out knowing that this plan would not be acceptable.

Just cannot believe the number of so called supporters who have made such spiteful and demeaning comments of a champion footballer. They talk about him as if he was a mass murderer. Trust they will have blacked out his image on the pictures of our premiership team by now. Speaking of club culture it didn't do Richmond any harm when it won its multiple premierships.

And sadly, without both, we are certain to be last 4. Apart from Mighty Max, where are our midfielders going to come from? Can't expect Viney to be able to do the job on his own. Lets hope so!

Why Petracca and Oliver never won a Brownlow
In their peak years (2020 to 2023)Trac and Clayton dominated Brownlow voting but ruined each others chances of ever winning the Brownlow. In three Brownlow results they attained these figures. Oliver 70 votes Petracca 67 votes Imagine how many votes each one would have scored if they were playing in different teams. Sadly, they are most likely to leave us, one by choice and the other by force. Shame. Interestingly, St Kilda's Jack Steele with 59 votes in 3 years has also been given his marching orders. As Ned Kelly said in his dying breath, "Such is Life".
