It sure does! A marvellous player who was, and in my humble opinion ,still will be a great. Sad about the circumstances of his dismissal. Thank you new broom! You are under my microscope until you can justify your actions.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
No King told him he wasnt going to be a midfielder which was just like saying, 'You are not wanted anymore'. Put whatever any spin you like on this story.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Not guilty! Just expressing a fact.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Your logic defies all logic Doc. So a player who DESERTS the club in pursuit of FAME and FORTUNE deserves a medal, but the other WHO WANTED TO STAY, BUT WAS KICKED OUT doesnt deserve a medal! Unbelievable!- Farewell Clayton Oliver

Cameron Bruce at 64 was not a bad get. Jim Sandral the biggest disappointment of all.- Spent But Proud by Meggs
- Hassa Mann
Hassa is a Melbourne legend true and true. He gave us so many thrills in his time as a player of such a high calibre. Great that people are praising him while he is still with us. A good opening post W.J.- AFLW: SF vs Adelaide
And the person! Inspration to us all. Technically it could be push in the back and a reverse free kick. Imagine that if the lead was less than a goal and the final siren gone. Dont do it boys and girls! Silly!- AFLW: Rd 12 vs Geelong
Cheers BDA.- AFLW: Rd 12 vs Geelong
Thanks for that Craig. Cheers.- AFLW: Rd 12 vs Geelong
Are we out if we lose to Brisbane? Confused about how AFLW finals work.- New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
Great research Demonstone! Amazing number of changes. The 1964 rule that coaches could address players at quarter time surprised me. I went to many matches in the fifties and thought the coach (Norm Smith) was always there at every break. Did players just gather and chat at quarter time? Older readers help my old memory lapse on this one.- Demon Jacks
How could I miss the incomparable Whispering Jack? Sorry WJ. Shall I rank you ahead of Mr Mueller?- Demon Jacks
The best guide to find Melbourne players is the MFC Heritage numbers list. After my memory effort, I cheated and consulted this list and discovered a grand total of 53 Demon Jacks. Before the 1950s there were over 40. Popular name then! From my time following the Dees, I did forget Jack Grimes, Jack Henderson and going back to the 50s Jack Thomson. So 6 out of 9 is a bare pass! So Google list was pretty sparse wasn't it? Thanks Rod.- Demon Jacks
My memory is poor and I have only managed to come with just 6 Melbourne players with first name of Jack. No particular order mine are; Jack Steele Jack Billings Jack Trengove Jack Watts Jack Viney Jack Mueller (In my view the greatest of the Jacks.) Can my fellow posters help swell this list?- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Surprise, surprise. This is one time that I agree with you wholeheartedly Doc. Very good points made about the situation needing clarification.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Not funny. Nasty comment.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
He won't.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Nasty man.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
What I don't understand. If He did all these so called terrible things why did the club keep selecting him week after week? Cannot recall any incident with him all through 2025.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
You certainly really hate an absolute champion Doc. Poor show!- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Absolutely agree with this. GWS are taking the MFC for a ride.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
I wish posters would not say 'We did We did that' 'We' incorporates all of us and going by responses on this forum, there are many people like myself who do not put themselves in the WE category. Should read 'The MFC did this etc, etc.' - Farewell Clayton Oliver
