  1. Oliver does not want to leave. King doesn't want him.
  2. Yes of course. There was no indication of poor fitness in his last game of the season against Collingwood. Thought he looked fine. Yes of course. He looked like he was pretty fit v Collingwood last game of the season. Had an elite game.
  3. I just asked you a simple question.Yes or no. Not hard.
  4. But did you cheer that goal? Check your spelling of its.
  5. Good points BB, but to tell a champion mid fielder he will not be playing in that role where he has proved himself time after time , would be a bit hard to stomach. You can't really blame him for his reaction and he does have GINGER hair! Hopefully, he will think a bit more about it. I am a bit worried that King's 'new broom' approach will work. Quite often doesn't.
  6. Exactly, we must retain one of the two preferably Clarry as he wants to be with us still. Those who are excited about a RESET, please tell me who will be our onballers apart from Max?
  7. Taking the club for a ride eh? 4 Blueys, 2 coaches awards, All Australian teams, tries so hard every game he plays. And wants to remain a Demon. I wonder if you cheered when he kicked the third of the 'bang bangs' Or did you just think he is taking the club for a ride. Please show some respect for an absolute champion of our club. /
  8. Starting our list from scratch? You can't do much when we only have a dozen good players on our list. He wasn't offered a mid field role. That's the problem. Don't quite understand what you mean by your suggestion he is refusing a mid field role.
  9. MFC has basically given Clarry his marching orders. They have done it in a DECEITFUL way knowing that he would not accept playing elsewhere than as a midfielder. Poor show and at the moment I have no desire to renew my membership next season. Mr King has made a poor start to his coaching career. Just hope he can justify this decision. I fear that if they let Petracca go we are only going to have West Coast behind us on the final AFL ladder. Hardly a recipe for playing finals Mr King.
  10. You can't build a team on potential stars alone. Cannot leave it to Max and Viney. We must keep one of Petracca or Oliver if not both. Tholstrup, Turner, Howes and Adams are not of the standard required for a successful rebuild. They may show promise but is that enough?
  11. Rebuild with what exactly? A group of unknown recruits? o
  12. so the saints could have grabbed the Bont.
  13. Clarry tries so hard each and every match. Plays his guts out..he certainly hasn't lost his hunger. Have faith in a champion.
  14. I think he has already shown himself to be one of our greatest players of all time even if he retired now. He will get back to his scintillating best in 26. Started to show it towards the end of season.
  15. I will always remember the GF goal he kicked over 55 metres off one step. (the second of the 'BANGS')Such coolness and power with 4 Bulldogs closing from all points of the compass. Also that beautiful long kick to Ben Brown for a goal which increased our lead to 5 goals in the GF. Hope we keep him. He gives his all. King may bring out the very best in him.
  16. Yes, that guy was thinking what we were all thinking, 'Can we now go and win a long awaited flag?' I was not really convinced until ANB kicked a goal to put us 7 goals up in last quarter. The moment had arrived. A finals campaign never to be repeated I would reckon. Also these thrashings were achieved on a neutral playing field. No chance for opposition supporters to claim that we had 'home ground advantage'.
  17. Yes, the Bont looked up at the scoreboard just before three quarter time and his face had 'what is the use ' on it. Great player, wish he was in red and blue.
  18. A wonderful football moment for me. I have always considered myself so lucky to have been able to witness 7 Demons premierships but they were all way way back in time. It was a long wait just like Saints supporters are experiencing right now. Sadly, all those premierships were mainly just memories with little footage of the games, Now I can at last watch in full colour the 2021 triumph. I did have strong feelings for those born after 1964 who had suffered 57 years in the football wilderness with not one flag, I did feel their joy of having success at last. About 15 years ago I purchased some Melbourne demons number plates which read 57 MFC. I guess it was an omen! Go Demons!!!!
  19. True, eyes were on the ball, but technically it WAS front on. I always taught my charges to turn their back towards opponent when they were attempting to mark or spoil. No free against if you have your back facing opponent. But since it was a Collingwood player involved I was absolutely delighted with the umpires call! 😆
  20. Bruce? Did Cameron take off his track pants and take part as a playing coach?😆
  21. Great news. The thug bites the dust.! Well done Lions, in another post I suggested you play like you did against the Dockers in Perth recently and you did.
  22. If you want a classy sports coverage have a look at SBS Channel 31 coverage of the World Athletics Championships. It beats what the AFL finals are offering at the moment. An excellent professional production with many thrilling events.
  23. Can't believe I want Geelong to win. Guess I despise Hawthorn even more. Please Brisbane beat either. Play like you did against the Dockers in Perth a few weeks ago. You looked like you had hit your premiership straps that evening.
  24. North Melbourne.
