The Sistine Chapel? Hmm ... I don't recall Micky Mouse being around in the Book of Genesis.

I've edited the team in the OP to match the line up on the VFL site as distinct from the team as posted on the Casey site which didn't look right to me (Kent at CHB etc!

Injury woes and a family connection make this player perfect for the Demons Territory draft prospect out for 12 weeks

Hey Redleg, I hope you're enjoying the overseas tour. I walked past your house this morning and it turns out those painters you have working there seem to have sub let most of the premises to a few former residents of the Gat. Reckons they're your mates and one of them (the most clean cut) looks like BBO. Local pawnbroker is apparently doing heaps of business. Cheers

Back in 1974 or 75 a client of mine got a so called "red hot tip" that a takeover bid for the Phillip Morris company was imminent. He borrowed heaps of money (mortgaged his house) and invested it in the shares and I spent the next 12 months keeping an eye on the price in the afternoon Herald. He sold the shares 12 months after the borrowing and made a small loss. He incurred interest payments, legal and government fees etc. in the process which ensured he made close on a 30% loss all up on an investment of $30k which was a lot of money. I remember it to this day and am not a player in share markets or other forms of gambling etc. (that don't rely on my own skills) But geez, I wish I would have gotten onto Christian Salem for the rising star last week.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Whispering_Jack replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Bureaucratic issues aside, there's a chance that we'll know whether there are going to be infraction notices served on somebody - Dank, Bomber players, officials ... by the end of the month ... hopefully ... Secret ASADA report from Garry Downes completed, expected to have reviewed all cases relating to Essendon supplement use -
Why on earth did Demetriou make a negative pronouncement less than seven days ago about our proposal to play an Anzac Eve game if he's out of the chair virtually from now on?

Some unjustified criticism of Jimmy Toumpas on here. Last week he was on his way to promotion to the AFL when a knock incurred relatively early in the game put him out for the day. I know that if you're picked to play there are no excuses but I think that its rare that a player stars the week after such a knock and I think the club was expecting not much more from him but to get a few kicks and get through the game which is exactly what he did. -
I'm not surprised that Hogan was smiling at Casey Fields today. His teammates on the ground were putting on a real Keystone Cops performance out on the ground.

Most of Clisby and Riley's best work was done in the second half. They did very little in the first half. Players such as Blease, Strauss and Tapscott have to do a lot of work to earn a game at any level above where they are at present. Harmes was in and out of the game and was off with a finger injury a couple of times. -

Max did reasonably well in the ruck and around the ground. He dominated the hitouts although his onballers didn't really take advantage (except with the exception of McKenzie). He had 49 hit outs and 18 possessions according to the Scorpions Facebook page. -

Casey doesn't look interested. No changes for Melbourne next week. Zebs by 43 points. Garland back on but just miskicked a kick in. This is truly appalling. -

Half time: Casey Scorpions 1.5.11 to Sandringham 7.5.47 Goal Best A very ordinary half of football. Coach gave them as bake at quarter time but it didn't help. -

The site's been down but you don't really want to know. Casey 1.4.10 to Sandringham 7.5.47 23 minutes into the second quarter. The Scorps are an undisciplined rabble and to make things worse, Col Garland just limped off. McKenzie probably best of a poor bunch. -

Robbo just said he thinks Moloney's career is finished
Whispering_Jack replied to Gorgoroth's topic in Melbourne Demons
I read it a little differently. It seems to me that Moloney was a Bailey loyalist who was offended by the club's treatment of him and it's clear that he wanted out at the end of 2011. There were reports at the time that he was being shopped off to Essendon by his management but nothing came of it which turned out unfortunate for both Melbourne and Moloney because the way he played in 2012 devalued him in terms of trade worth and income as a player. On the field, it was clear that he was of little value, wasn't responding to Neeld's coaching and rarely played any better than a moderate game and consequently and deservingly, was dropped to the VFL. Neeld turned out to not be up to it but he was dealt a shocking hand taking over a post 186 team, with poor leadership capability, an over abundance of bad luck in terms of injury and off field drama as well as the background sniping (such as the false allegations of racism) from segments of the media and some "supporters". Some better coaches would not have survived such a battering, a lesser one like Neeld had no hope and no opportunity to improve as a coach in that environment anyway. As it is, we need to brace ourselves for it to take Paul Roos at least 12 months to restore this club to anything resembling normality after all that. -
