Time to start a rebuild?
Harmes and Baker both played excellent games for Footscray on the weekend. The ANB story seems convenient - doesn't excuse accepting unders for a key member of pour leadership group. The ones you say we offered contracts to left because Goodwin was starving them of opportunities, playing his usual favourites. Head out of the sand please. Even if your 'ratings' were accurate, what have we replaced those players with? Absoluteley nothing!

Only seen it posted on some Demons fans pages on Facebook. Seems made-up

Time to start a rebuild?
We haven't been into anyone of note since May and Lever...Houston until Tracc killed te trade. We are once again a club that refuses to, or is not attractive enough to, gain the services of recognised AFL talent leaving other AFL sides. The fact that North added Darling and Parker and we added Sharp, McAdam and Billings, tells you our trade philosophy. Sorry, but we go for the speculative NQR types and VFL heroes, believing we can turn them elite, probably because it worked once with Bailey Fritsch. We also traded away so much talent for little return and people wonder why we are in this position. I'll throw some names up: Harmes Baker Jordon Bedford Neale - Bullen All given away for a bag of chips....in McAdam, Billings, Sharp

Not a question I can answer...I have no idea...but it is very obvious who are the media's darlings and who aren't.

Media Madness
Heard it and their response was very flippant and rude. Kozzie pickett, had he done similar to Danger, would have been hounded. You are quite right. Additionally, there are stories about Richmond players from the summer, barely spoken about. You've got West Coast players in fights in nightclubs, off the radar. Never heard anything more about Stengle. JUH is gaining sympathy whereas Oliver was lambasted. Bailey Smith the same as JUH. We could be here all day. The media are hellbent on bringing the MFC down...it started straight after the GF win...all talk was about a premiership hangover...then when we unfurled the flag on a WEDS night....a WEDS...they wrote stories of how we only had 58K....the AFL then dropped the midweek fixture the next season...very convenient. You could go on and on...

Time to go Goody?
At what point will you go in on him? What if we are 0-4 and cop a belting down at Geelong. That's a coach killer isnt it?

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
I've been too angry to post anything until now. That was close to the most insipid loss i can recall in recent memory. I rate it worse than the loss to WCE and Freo last year, because we essentially rolled over at the end. Additionally, our lack of basic skills and constant errors, including the lack of awareness, was frightening. We looked like a C Grade Ammos side. I don't like to single out players...BUT...Jack Viney...you'd never question his effort, but man, his skills are complete junk. That moment when he streamed through the middle, only to kick it directly down the throat of a North defender, whilst we were outnumbered 3 v 1 inside our fifty says everything about him...maybe people will defend him and say "but the strcuture was poor" - i think that is being very kind. The other player who ought to ashamed of himself is Woey Jnr....that moment where he tried to bounce was horrendous. He is not going to make it at senior level. Now, to the Coach...it's time to go! Has had years to improve the list and it has gone backwards every year. You can't argue that. Has had months to improve the forwards and they have gone further back. It's atrocius. He panicked yesterday and threw the whole side around. Langdon is not a mid. His persistance with silly ideas has killed our seasons for the last three years. The jig is up. We need fresh eyes.

Demon supporters are pathetic…
This is a very salient point, which is too often ignored. Has consideration ever been given to reversing the broadcast position?

Demon supporters are pathetic…
It seems everyone loved it, but the MFC have seemingly ignored the multiple requests of supporters and members on social media platforms, saying that it will only return in 2026. A mistake and missed opportunity IMHO.

I concur with this and have outlined my experience above. I really hope the club considers having 'the jimmy jig' after every goal for every home match. It is unique and has a connection to our club's history. It would be a shame to simply revert back to what we had last year and forget about it all until next 'Jim's Game'. Other clubs are doing this to great effect. We should embrace what we created yesterday. I don't know how that might be communicated to the club, but I hope they were taking note.

Demon supporters are pathetic…
This is a most truthful take. A friend has told me that it was our 3rd highest crowd for a game against GWS. I really loved the Irish jig after goals. It got great traction the longer it went on and I really feel as though the MFC should persist with it and build a tradition. It's a great nod to Jimmy, the man who essentially saved the Club, again! It is a darn sight better than the junk pop/hip hop stuff the AFL are trying to push, which is not organic and drowns out the natural crowd noise. I sit on Level 2 of the MCC and it's usually very dull....yesterday, people actually got behind the jig and started clapping along..almost unheard of...anyone else agree that we could build something here?
