  1. Midfield is getting rolled. Forwards pretty efficient. We'll step it up this quarter.

Lions tackle like they mean it. Should hold them in good stead.
  3. Utmost admiration for the guy. Bloke from the Yarra Valley becomes one of the greatest coaches of the modern era. That's a remarkable achievement. The ridiculous parochialisation of our game is so juvenile.
  4. Lasted two years.
  5. Might give the likes of Laurence Angwin and Lucas Cook a extra year on their career!
  6. The Steven May book would be an interesting read. Reckon he would have a yarn or two to share.
  7. No so sure about that. McVee is playing the Hunt role from last season and is doing it pretty well. Hibbo does the minding/shut down jobs on medium midfileders/forwards. Bowey is mostly uncontested possessions and has a distributor role. One that Salem has done well in over the years.
  8. In theory it will be Bowey...
  9. Maybe... but in my mere opinion 4 goals each against the Lions and Dogs is probably the best performance of any of our key position forwards this season. Still an important player.
  10. Interestingly, BBB had eight of these in the first two rounds.
  11. Talent pool is too shallow with 20 teams. Norf or Horf can relocate...
  12. I know Danger bashing is a thing... but he was incredible on Sunday. He is in red hot form at the moment.
  13. Do Gold Coast have supporters?
  14. Think they're playing different roles. If Salem comes back it is probably for Bowey. McVee is often minding the medium forward/midfielder. Jayden Hunt's role from last year.
  15. Was interesting that Sparrow, Jordon, Kozzie even Harmes when he came on spent more time in the midfield. Perhaps after quarter time they thought with a 10 goal lead it would be a perfect time to blood them? Even saw Tracc and Clarry dropping back to half back on occasions.
  16. Great news. For the adults, it's great to have one of our most skilfull and highest potential players re-sign. For kids, I dreaded the thought of having to explain to my seven-year-old that his favourite player wouldn't be continuing with the Dees. He was jumping around the kitchen today with a nerf football saying: Kozzie from the impossible angle puts it through!

Adelaide are good but if you keep missing easy opportunities in front of goal Collingwood will make you pay. Pies are an excellent contest team with Sidebum, de Goey, Crisp, Mitchell, etc.
  18. Great opportunity for his old mates to get in Mac Andrew's ear and bring him back to rightful home... Casey!
  19. Was strange. Almost talked more about us than Norf! Then again a good deflection tactic.
  20. That start was scintillating. When Kozzie is up and going we become such a dangerous team. Banging goals from outside 50 is such a confidence booster. Clarry dominated in that first quarter. Led the way. Tracc: 30 and three. Fritta is all class. Maysie back in form. Chandler played the perfect small forwards game. Sparrow was very good. Angus best game for the year. Less impressed with Shack Attack and van Roo. Also I wonder about the effectiveness of Hunter's dribble handballs! Had a good game though.
  21. Wonder if Maysie will come under any scrutiny for his hit on Coleman Jones? Think BBB will need to be considered.
  22. I hear you. The Shack had a BArry Crocker for much of the game. And van Roo, well he was well held but we could use him a bit more.
  23. Never saw this coming, but great stuff Kade! Defensively and offensively he has been brilliant.
  24. 6. Petracca 5. Chandler 4. Kozzie 3. Oliver 2. Angus 1. Fritta, Unlucky: Grundy, May, ANB.
  25. Been very, very good!
