A lot can change in 2 years Gator. I get the anxiety about losing Koz and I personally hate the idea he may leave. I’m hoping like hell he changes his mind, but this has been on the cards for a while now (being undecided). I’m hanging my hopes on Koz changing his mind once again. As I said he loves the club and has informed the recruiting team/club in time to make the best out of this situation. Kozzie has been thinking about a move for a while now GW, and he has informed the club he wants to go. The only hope is if he changes his mind. Koz loves the club and that has kept him here.

I agree clubs tend to trade for needs and I don’t see Allen a need at this stage either. Having said that, there are a lot of ‘ifs’ with our current crop of key talls. I more concerned for our KPD’s moving forward and than our key KPF’s given the age of May, TMac and Lever’s injuries. Tim Lamb has been poor with trades, luckily we have JT bringing in good talent.

Not a snipe Binman, but 14 key position players were drafted in the first 2 rounds in the 2024 draft. Admittedly most were picked in the second round. JT and the club talk about drafting for talent first and I would think if Allen was gettable they would trade in talent just as keenly as they draft. Particularly if it improves the list. FWIW, I’m not keen on Allen myself due to his dodgy knee and think it’s a risk too high. Kozzie leaving to go west opens up the possibility of the club trading with WC and Freeo in this case

Jeffo”s best haul was 5 goals against the Zebras. 27 goals in 15 VFL matches. He was played in different positions prior to these games. The kid can play.

Our midfield has elite players, but runs thin and is slow. Disposal skills are average too. Our defence has elite players, but they have been riding high on a defensive game plan. They are average one on one and in fast transition. More than top teams. Offensively they are poor. Chandler is a work horse and is important. JVR and Turner are potential status at this stage. Pickett is inconsistent. Spargo is low possession but high impact, but is too low in possession to have much impact. Fritsch is elite. Langford, Johnson and Jeffo have yet to play,

I somewhat agree Brenno. If there is a choice of player who the club have at equal or similar value, pick a Vic every time. Other factors come into consideration as well. We only have to look at our 2019 draft haul. LJ gone, Pickett will go (info from inside the club) and pick 8 gone (Serong) In retrospect, I would have Serong over both Pickett and LJ. Comparing Hogan with May is more of a blight on Freeo and the Suns. We just took advantage. GWS have a draft strategy and it works for them.
