To be honest, if the commentators didn’t go on and on about him I wouldn’t notice his impact on the game as it wasn’t all that significant, whilst Ash’s drove out of d50 was very noticeable to me. Daicos just has lots of cheap disposals and hence why he probably didn’t get the medal. Bont and McCluggae were the same, didn’t really have a major influence. I thought Butters and Ash were the Vics best.

So based on that - is it fair to say that he wasnt doing that at MFC? I thougt i could recall many trackwatchers report that said he was training the house down. i remember even when he kicked 3 in a practise game and we thought he was back...then it went nowhere, fast. Perhaps it was the kick up the bum he need to squeeze that extra 1-2% (or more like the 5-10% as he was miles behind the top rungs of AFL midfielders).

How much extra would they have paid if the timing was reversed (i.e. ACL >> trade week). Even if Clarry is not at his best, they are almost identical in type of skill level and role.
