  1. It’s on a Tuesday night. It’s at Centrepiece. Tickets are $300. It’s as though the club doesn’t really want folks to attend. I’m guessing it will be the lowest attendance in years. If they set the ticket price closer to what’s affordable for us regular folks they would surely have more people attend.
  2. Prematch at home games at the ‘G we help coterie by selling raffle tickets for them. It never ceases to amaze me how much money we collect in the space of 20-30 minutes. It’s astounding. Most folks don’t even ask what the prizes are, they buy a heap of tickets regardless. It’s nothing for someone to pull out a wad and peel off a hunge or even two. Who has that kind of walking-around money?!! They do and they are very generous when it comes to helping raise money.
  3. In case anyone (besides @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew and me) has ever wondered why Edo always tucks her guernsey into her shorts… I have the answer to the burning question! She says it’s so no one can grab and pull at her jumper in play. She then said she’d demonstrate what she means. She grabbed at Banno’s waist/hip and pulled at her jumper, easily stopping her and effectively controlling her movement (along with scaring the carp outta her coz she didn’t know she was part of the demo). She got Banno to do the same to her and whaddya know? It’s true! Banno had nothing to grab at. So now I’ve gone from wondering why the fashion fail to thinking they should all tuck their jumpers into their shorts 😁
  4. No biggie but Luker is 19yo, not 21 All good, I just realised it’s age at end of contract. Yes, I’m talking to myself 😁
  5. How are you so sure?
  6. We’ll know we have a new coach when white smoke billows out of the chimney 🙃
  7. Three absentees today (who aren’t on the injury list): Ryleigh, Gabby and Radar.
  8. She trained as normal. No strapping anywhere. As is often the case, she was one of the last off the field.
  9. Lampy is here, rehabbing. She said she should be right by round 7. It’s her calf but it’s not too serious. Great to see Tahls running. She’s progressing well. As is Jacinta. Last Friday she ran without incident and it was clearly her first time in a while since everyone got around her, much cheering and clapping. The girls’ flush runs are like their captain’s runs… no messing around. Not a sch!tt nor a giggle in sight. Except for before and after, and then it’s hella fun 🤩
  10. 2152 at the Saints match.
  11. A crowd of 2001? It sure seemed like many more than that.
  12. I’ve got a feeling Selwyn’s not getting the boot. If he is to get the boot, I don’t think he’s been told yet. He was at the Casey semi on Saturday, not in a work capacity but as a fan. As were other members of our AFL staff: Vinnie (our guy with the laptop who was always next to Goody at games), Lamby, JT, Paul Guerra, Steven Smith, a couple of the trainers. All there as fans only (not to be confused with Only Fans 😅) Selwyn didn’t seem to be someone who’s been given the arze. Unless he has been but it’s what he wanted 🤷‍♀️
  13. You misspelled Kentfield 😉 and I don’t mean Kenterfield… I mean KENTFIELD
  14. Idk if it’s for copyright reasons but the title of their footy record amuses me…
  15. They should include Frangas in their membership packs
  16. The most pathetic thing about it is how proud they are of living in ‘Franga.’ They actually use the term Franga… with pride. Imagine being proud to live in a place called Franga!
  17. We got so close 💔 ☹️💔 I’m incredibly proud of the boys. That fight-back was immense. When they came off the ground each and every one of them looked devastated (in particular, Deaks). It was hard to see them like that compared to prematch when they were confident and raring to go. But they can hold their heads high. PS There’s a special place in hell reserved for Frankston fans. Feral af. Feral with a capital FERAL. The aggressive bogan men were rivalled only by the rough-as-guts teenagers. They make St Albans feel like Toorak. I’m looking forward to getting to the city, far away from that cesspool of repugnance.
  18. Apparently tonight’s game is sold out (capacity reached). We’ve been warned of a hostile crowd. Good times
  19. I didn’t see any of the game (snag duty) and I’m sooooo looking forward to watching the replay tomorrow, not tonight because I’ve got a VFL game to scream my lungs out at. A win tonight along with today’s win will go some way to easing the pain of Geelong and Collingwood making it through to prelims 🤪 PS how did my girl LJ33 go today?
  20. Kate with 32 disposals? It’s what I heard anyways. What an incredible player/captain she is
  21. Well it seems pretty much EVERYTHING about the MFC is a disappointing occurrence for you. With one exception… the almighty Jeffo.
  22. ❤️💙 GAMEDAY ❤️💙 Pumped for this match! A prelim is only one game away It would mean so much to the players to see and hear lotsa love and support… LOUD love and support, from lotsa peeps. Frankston is a much nicer suburb than folks let on. Please come and make the seedy side of life your friend! 😃 See y’all there! GO THE MIGHTY DEES!!! GO OUT THERE AND GIVE ‘EM HELL! Yes I copied and pasted and amended this from the W GameDay thread. 🤭
  23. I can only speak for the cheer squad but one of the “Golden Rules” is that we never boo at anyone or anything, with the exception of an absolute howler from an umpire, and even then it’s rare that we boo. This is one of the first things you learn in the DA. But… That all changed on that fateful day when that filthy thug ended Gussy’s career. Now we boo him like there’s no tomoz. At first it felt weird to boo a player, but it soon became easier and now it’s woven into our DA DNA.
  24. ❤️💙 GAMEDAY ❤️💙 Pumped for this match! The players were taught a lesson last week (self-taught, actually) and have assured us there won’t be a repeat. They’re more determined than ever to smash this season 👊🏼 It would mean so much to them to see and hear lotsa love and support… LOUD love and support, from lotsa peeps. Don’t let these gale force winds put you off - it’s fun having to superglue your hat to your head 😃 See y’all there! GO THE MIGHTY DEES!!! GO OUT THERE AND GIVE ‘EM HELL!
