  1. The players clearly DGAF…
  2. This is what greets one on approach to Gosch’s this morning… 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
  3. For anyone wondering if old mate Nathan Williamson (umpire #22) is officiating at our match having done so at last night’s match… breathe easy, he’s not. Here’s the schedule… https://aflua.com.au/umpire-appointments/
  4. On June 16th last year my landlord put my rent up by the maximum allowed. On June 17th this year - the very first day possible - he’s raising it again, and again by the maximum allowed. I don’t barrack for Collingwood so what’s his excuse??? 😭
  5. Nah she’s a living breathing person. Goes to every training session at Crannie as she calls it coz she lives up the road in Franga as she calls it. I call it Frankghanistan, but I live in St Albans (or Snorbs as I call it) so I can’t talk. 🤣 While she’s there she sends me detailed reports but asks me not to share most of the info because she’s hella superstitious and truly believes it will mozz players 🤷‍♀️
  6. [censored] it all
  7. That’s it. G’night all 👋
  8. Ruby Schleicher’s voice…
  9. At training today (I wasn’t there but my ghostwriter was) Charles’ face came up on the big screen and everyone was getting around him. Make of that what you will 😁
  10. Thanks for explaining 👍🏽
  11. Clearly their supporters are as pathetic as ours 🙃 maybe even more so.
  12. He may be, but I daren’t ask him at 10:45pm. I’d likely still be listening to him at 4am. I adore him but I need sleep 😅
  13. True. We especially need to learn how to defend a narrow lead with a couple of minutes left on the clock
  14. Didn’t know what it meant in February; still don’t know today. I’m sure I’ll never know. Unrelated (but possibly related): great news about Judd 🥳
  15. Yes but was their culture ever questioned?
  16. A very specific scenario right there, BBP. 🤔
  17. You need to compromise, W. Try to get involved in something she’s interested in. This is what I do. My sons don’t get into footy. I watch MAFS (I know right) because my older two watch it (again, I know right) and we have a group chat going during each episode which makes it fun. My youngest isn’t into MAFS. He has Asperger’s so if you wanna know anything (and everything, literally EVERYTHING) about 17th century Northern European naval artillery… I’m your gal 👍🏽😅
  18. It will be akin to how hard the AFL went re Maynard/Gus… ie. pizzweak. But there’s no farm, oops I mean harm in trying 😉
  19. Nah that doesn’t upset me at all, M. I’m close friends with Pauline Fritsch, i don’t see her as “Fritta’s mum.” We each have a 28yo son and we talk about them to the same degree… which is not much at all tbh 😅 Besides, it’s not as though you’ve called him a spud, in which instance I’d be angry, but not because he’s Fritta, rather because he’s one of our players. Constructive criticism is a different thing altogether. PS: stay safe <3
  20. When Max talks about Jimmy it’s always a beautiful moment. But in every other way the celebration was farcical. For example, our banner had a massive graphic of Fritta for his 150th (it was worthy of a 250 game, or even 300 game milestone, but that’s just my opinion and is beside the point). The other side had a Beyond Bank graphic surrounded by a bunch of small shamrocks. I cut those shamrocks out and was cringing all the while but I left banner making early so didn’t see that side completed ‘til it was raised on the day. I had assumed there’d be a graphic, even a smaller one, of Jim and was so disappointed there wasn’t one. That’s just one example.
  21. While I’m at it (and in a grumpy mood) I’m over this whole thing of our fans being “pathetic.” I sat in that rain on Sunday, didn’t leave my seat once. We were up and about for the entire match despite being cold and wet. To come on here after the match (that is, after we pack everything up, twice as hard as usual when everything is waterlogged and weighs a ton) and see this thread title is galling. Stop it, already. Arguing about it is futile.
  22. Don’t mean to rain on everyone’s parade but those girls were dancers. They wore green sparkly tops and they danced to whatever that music was but Irish dancing that was not. Does it matter? Yeah, it does to me, and likely other Irish folk. The whole “Jim’s Game” thing was half-baked tokenism. Either commit wholeheartedly or don’t do it at all.
  23. Yep, I was still there (I’m usually last to leave 😁) but I didn’t see anyone on the oval. We could’ve had a kick-to-kick sesh, Layz! 😃
  24. Marty’s been told he’s in the Casey side this week 🥳 He’s rapt. His last hand injury took forever to heal. This time the healing is ahead of the expected time. The Bison wasn’t happy with his game on Sunday. He said he’s looking forward to “getting a run” next time he plays which I took to mean he hopes to start or at least be brought on earlier. While he wasn’t happy with his game, his confidence hasn’t taken a blow at all. He knows he’s got a lot more to show us (but not the same as what Sam Lalor unintentionally showed everyone when celebrating his first goal (Google it) 🤭
