PREGAME: Rd 08 vs West Coast
Spargo was one of our highest rated players during that 3rd quarter surge. If you enjoyed that quarter, I suggest we donāt drop him.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs West Coast
I love how many posters have been complaining about how Goody plays favourites and isnāt letting the young guys have a go and then we let the young guys have a go and they go ānah that 19 year old first round pick in his second game back from injury needs to be DROPPED.ā

Iām just trying to figure out why Tholstrup would be droppedā¦

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
I think itās probably just a reaction to people being overwhelmingly angry despite us winning the game comfortably. Demonland is often just a pile on of bitterness and so those of us who try to celebrate the small things like to hit back once in awhile.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Confused why weāre back to booting it long again. Maybe load managing so we can pressure in the 4th like last week?

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
š Whatever you say, champ.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Definitely donāt disagree but as someone working in that space the general rule of thumb is that the first narrative put out on something this arbitrary is typically the most widely seen and believedāeven if later potentially shown to be BS most people have already moved onto the next thing and will never come back to the story. So the first thing they read sticks and whatever comes next (if they even see it) elicits a mild shrug. Best recent examples of this strategy come from a lot of the things said by a certain orange man on the other side of the pacific.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
I feel like thereās a plausible scenario in which Morris puts this out as some sort of weird attempt at an apology to the Trac camp after the offseason damage he did to Trac and the club.
-
Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
From a PR perspective for Trac it wouldnāt be the dumbest move if someone from his camp told Morris this speech happened even if it didnāt. More people likely to see the original story than the follow ups that it didnāt happen and helps Trac look better after getting the ādivaā label. If it leaks that it didnāt happen (which seems like what weāre hearing), it has minimal negative impact on the club or Trac and Morris gets burned and looks like the little weasel that we all know he is.

All that post says is he ālooks set to return.ā In Goodyās actual presser he makes clear itās looking good but he does not say itās a certainty. Recognise itās splitting hairs a bit but still

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
I redact my Kolt as vice captain suggestion. Unless it somehow actually happens next year in which case I will delete this comment and revel in the sheer brilliance of my original comment.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Yeah youāre probably rightājust was trying to think of who comes to mind as a leader from the younger group.
-
Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
This is feeling more and more likely. Love Rick Lever obviously but heās out injured a lot. Could see Max and Viney stepping back to focus on their game next year with Trac as captain and Lever as vice. Could also see a scenario where vice is one of the younger guys like Kolt or Rivers.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Re: the conversation about what changed this weekāI feel like it wasnāt so much that our players intentionally werenāt putting in the effort or werenāt buying in to Goodyās plan in the previous games, itās that they were confused by the gameplan and became more and more demoralised as it continued to not work. 5 weeks of reviewing their failures and mistakes is what has led to so many finally getting it. In other words, they had the same growing pains other clubs do when they implement something newāas others here had predicted using the Hawthorn and Brisbane examples. The talk of Goody ālosingā the players was rubbish.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
No Lever no May no McVee. Petty up forward. Disco concussion. It was certainly not perfect but Iām not gonna complain about our rag tag group keeping their prolific scorers under 100.

Max was an absolute brick wall in the 4th. Felt like the good old days.

12 first round picks and a new rolls Royce and they can maybe have Kozzy.

I feel like I could cry solely because I got to watch a good, fun half of footy that made me excited about this team.
