  1. I’ll say this again..: not one afl phantom draft has Nairn in the top 20… these phantom drafts are almost 100% accurate to at least the top 15. Go back the last 10 years and very rarely will there be an exception.
  2. How far from Melbourne are you?
  3. We aren’t picking nairn for picks 7 and 8. He isn’t in any phantom draft top 20 let alone top 10
  4. You are wrong.::
  5. When was a biscuit ever called a scone?
  6. First I’ve hear of Nairn anywhere near the top 20. He looks good but I think there are better options in the top 10
  7. Would be a good get at what will be our pick 10. Solid midfielder that knows how to get the pill. Needs to clean up his disposal but plenty of times still is able to find the loose team mate.

Agree.. he is a top 3 pick. If we get him for 7 it’s a steal

Which Brisbane or Geelong players play this role?
  10. Oxdee replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nick Martin is horrible by foot as in NWM. Also, the way teams break lines is by foot not by running like maniacs trying to outrun everyone
  11. Oxdee replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
It’s 2 different roles and almost doesn’t exist in the afl. Those that break lines are traditionally average kicks and make poor decisions. His direct 30m kicks is what breaks lines.

Jasper fletcher plays a defensive distributor role fairly well.. isn’t a contested player and averages less than 2 tackles a game
  13. Oxdee replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
He plays a role as a distributed off half back. He isn’t meant to be a contested bull
  14. Oxdee replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
He is in the top 3 of this draft. If we pick him up at 7-8 it will be a steal. No other player in the draft comes close to having his ability by foot which is now how the game is played. Is exactly what we need off half back and through the middle. Him and dovatson are the duo we should pick
  15. Dovatson has to be a top 5 talent. He is exactly what Melbourne needs. Quick, good by foot, tenacious and superb footy smarts. He will be better than Watson as he has more potential to play a multitude of positions including off half back. He is also taller and stronger with a solid core. Will be a steal at pick 7 or 8.
  16. Can’t divulge details but the glasshouse summary above trumps MFC plans for that land
  17. Yes. There is a problem about a tunnel to access the sports grounds from the SE corner. Not sure what the solution is for this as I can’t see them closing the racetrack for months
  18. ‘Source’ ;-) the north east corner is now being earmarked for the glasshouse extension..: dees have been relegated back to the south east corner.
  19. Correct.. initially it was going to be the small triangle in the middle, then it moved to the south east corner then the north east corner. It’s now back to the south east corner. Problem is that it’s currently getting used for heavy machinery which needs to find a new section of the course.
  20. Lindsay - spectacular left footer. Composed by foot and makes smart decisions Greeves - big bodied mid that can also play up forward. Good by foot and is also composed with ball in hand Dovaston - small forward that can also play minutes in the middle as he is ferocious at the ball. Similar to nick watson but bigger and taller Would be happy with any of these 3
  21. Go back and watch Toumpas highlight reel from the draft. He was very average and this followed onto afl form. No idea how we picked him after watching his highlight reel again
  22. his highlight reel is just as good as nick Watson. He played against Footscray vfl team as a 17 year old had 18 possessions and kicked 1 goal and 4 behinds. That’s a phenomenal result considering he never played with the hawks team and Footscray finished top of the ladder.
  23. Hahaha… planning alone will take a minimum of 1.5 years. It’s taken me 12 months to get 2 x townhouses approved. It will then take 2 years at a minimum to build.
  24. Agree.. Lindsay and dovaston are stand outs in the draft range…
  25. I wonder how badly we were screwed. Hope he succeeds at GWS and proved that we made the wrong decision
