  1. Correct. The crop of 10 best players are past their prime and won’t get any better. The window has officially shut
  2. Does anyone have stats on sides winning after a 5 day break. Seems to be a real disadvantage
  3. We didn’t win because we were down by 38 points to 0… chances of coming back after that is almost 0
  4. It’s ok.. we play it our fortress
  5. I said 3 qtrs not the whole match. I would give us the points in the 2nd 3rd and 4th. Unfortunately we never recovered from the abysmal 1st quarter
  6. We played better than them for 3qtrs but couldn’t convert or dominance.
  7. Does no one on these forums understand that we can’t play in the rain. People are dismissing it like a late change to a bottom skilled player.
  8. Seems that rain is coming in.. Dees record is woeful in the rain. Slightly concerning
  9. Correct re Martin… hasn’t played since September 2023… will be rusty
  10. Ye of little faith
  11. Didn’t realise Windsor was out for him to come back in?
  12. Hunter wouldn’t be replacing Windsor. It either Laurie or woe. Can’t imaging Laurie being dropped after 2 goals which leaves woe. Not sure woe has offered too much since coming in
  13. I don’t think anyone is underrating Geelong however most dees supporters together with the general public have this game as a close 50/50… Comments on this forum are trying to dissect which part of our game will neutralise geelong and which parts will make them pay.
  14. We have the best backline in the league by a considerable margin. Having a 10% better backline than the next best in the league is huge.
  15. Carlton had more scoring shots and more inside 50’s. It’s not that far fetched to suggest that a Geelong loss had potential. A team with a slightly better defence and a more efficient forward line could have taken the points.
  16. I wonder how much of hawthorns success could be attributed the the introduction of gws and gc?
  17. ‘The afl is a non profit sport’? You do realise clubs fold if they can’t make a profit?
  18. The league is barely able to sustain 18 teams. There isn’t enough sponsorship, members or players to facilitate a 19th team. Americas population is 10x Australia’s and only has 32 teams.
  19. Looking at some keys stats on the weekend shows some of geelongs faults. they were beaten in nearly every stat and Scott wouldn’t want to replicate this every week. inside 50’s -20 tackles I50 -16 Metres gained -300m Clangers +15 Less marks less handball less kicks. these are a diabolical set of numbers. The only reason they won was because Carlton has an atrocious defence and let Geelong waltz out of defence unchallenged. They were +22 for rebound 50’s. Dees won’t allow them this luxury.
  20. Tmac has a huge tank. He can run up and down the ground with Cameron all day. Wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up with the points on Saturday
  21. You do realise Adelaide were looking at offering 2 x first round picks for him last year?
  22. I would add hunter in for woe.. no need to change the backline which kept the tigers to 40 points. Leave petty in the forward line. He isn’t that far off from kicking a bag
  23. Henry might be out with that high hit..?
  24. Did anyone see the Henry incident? Seemed to hit a Carlton player high and then kicked a goal. Might be in trouble
  25. Goodwin mentioned mcadam in his presser. Wouldn’t be a surprise if he came in
