Luke Darcy was saying the same thing this morning. Getting a downgrade to one week was a "good result" because we "all want to see the stars of the game playing"... Deadset joke.

Oh please. Would it not be extremely poor list management if we didn't have a half decent backup for Max? If we went with a small forward or outside runner instead of Preuss, who are our genuine ruck options if Max goes down? Preuss will be fine once he gets fit, and he's got the best ruck in the comp to show him how.

These threads are depressing and I have no desire to read all 9 pages. 2nd quarter aside we were total crap, but I can only hope someone has raised the absolutely disgraceful umpiring, again. How many 50/50 calls did they get (that we didn't!) that directly resulted in goals? Livid

+1 Preuss is not match fit. Yes it was @#$%ing hot in Shepparton but he was cooked 3/4 of the way through the FIRST quarter, FFS. AND he dropped everything that came his way. Defintely not the answer to our current problems.

When are umpires going to learn to be seen and not heard? They are there to officiate the game, not be a part of it, FFS! Sick of watching a game or attending a game and the umpires being a major talking point afterwards.

If there are any Telstra mobile/home internet/home phone/foxtel customers out there, you can get cheap $20 tickets to pretty much any game you like, via the "Telstra thanks" offers. Sometimes tickets are in AFL members, sometimes GA. As of a few mins ago, there are still GA tickets available down at the cattery. I got a couple but could have purchased up to 10

Didn't want to start a new thread... Having rewatched last years final vs Geelong, one thing I'm looking forward/hoping to seeing some progress on is putting teams away. 5.2 at 1/4 time. 6.13 plus a couple out on the full and multiple missed chances at 3/4 time. We had them on toast most of the game but lacked the killer punch. Even though I know what happened in the 4th it was still frustrating as hell. Bring on Saturday!!

Besides the obvious May, KK, return of Lever.. etc, the player I'm most excited about is Hunt. Don't know why, but I have a feeling he is going to come good. Him firing on one wing and KK the other would be awesome.

Has there been any word on when the AGM will be this year? Last year was mid December. I've always enjoyed going to that, hearing from the CEO, the coach and being introduced to the new players.

Sprintcar racing over summer for me. Season opener a couple of weeks ago at Avalon, Moama on Saturday (unfortunately cancelled cause rain), Warrnambool in a couple of weeks. Biggest race in country (by car count biggest in world) is Grand Annual Sprintcar classic in Warrnambool, in second last weekend of January. Love this time of year! Edit - I spectate. Too old/slow to drive
