Howes was asked to play very defensively today. So much so that it looked like the ball hit him in the shoulder while he was watching his opponent. It was annoying watching Will Elliott hit Shack and Moodle with roundhouse forearms to the head without retaliation. Could have received some reciprocal late spoils. Couldn’t anyone let them know it is Moodie? Or is he a teacher?

He is second-guessing where the ball is going, rather than looking at the ruckman’s arms and being the first there. He needs to study Neale, Merrett, and other smaller midfielders rather than trying to nullify.

I didn’t see the Roos/Dogs game today, but evidently Bont had another cracker. This time after back spasms. Betting if he had an amputation he would have 50 and kick 6. One of the only players in the comp that I would openly welcome. But it would never happen. You get the feeling if he’s not on the field, then he’s probably on the front desk, designing the jumper, or entertaining the kids dressed in the dog outfit.

Absolutely, he does. Just don’t ask him to explain it. I need that time to do other things with my life.

Graham (and the other recent draftees) have had the benefit of the last 3!! preseasons. It’s a part of being in their Academy.

Same here – the ladder predictor is a dark place, full of malevolent thoughts. I did have the Dees and Hawks moving into the 8 by round 20 if the suns keep on shooting themselves in the foot.

I’d be mad as a cut snake if I was Max because close and “deserve” has got nothing to do with it. Such a better effort though against the form side of the comp.
