We know one thing, he is midfielder that can spread, hit a target and get his own footy. That is more then we can say for most of our midfield. We need to go out and get him. I also believe we are in the box seat: - We can double his salary - Offer him the top dog position in our midfield - Keep him living in Melbourne with Buddy - Neeld has already coached him - He only has to walk in a different door next year. We need some WINNERS around the club. First it was Clark, Wellingham can be next.

How about a possible trade with Essendon: Aaron Davey for Gumbleton + a pick? Would free up some cash (however I think Aaron is on a front end loaded contract) for a big name (Goddard, Cloke etc) And Aaron gets to play with his bro before his body denies him a chance.

I say stick by him, appeal to put him on the rookie list but if the AFL reject, then we just wear it. Could always make him out to be on the long term injury list? With the amount of suspect evidence and most of the witnesses being drunk, I doubt he will get a full sentence. It sounds like the other two were more involved, hopefully he is trialled separately.
