Yeah it does and i guess its where the points thing make sit a bit more complicated (im no expert in that field) , i just reckon on face value pick 3 should get you a pick in the top 10.. not sure how that happens. I tend to think we will split the pick now that we missed out on Elliott.

I think there in lies the problem, Jennings became the brains trust for the lot and not the actual coach. I reckon they are stripping it back.

I just reckon pick 3 is worth more than 12 & 18. i think we would need at least to stay in the top 10 for one of the picks.

I take it that the Jennings role wont be replaced and it will be just a line coach to be added.

Interesting indeed, but realistically the only way we can get involved in a Papley discussion is if we split the pick, and will have to be terr than pick 9 as thats Carlton's first pick.

I think if we give Freo P22 for Langdon, which i think is totally fair, its probably spot on, then we will split the pick. 2 picks in the first round.

Why? i mean all he said is we offered a three year contract, how someone can find a reason to blame JM is so Melbourne. We are worse that Richmond when they were no good, we eat our won like no other team.

SO DD36, who is next then, we need a small forward. Do we get involved in Papley? is it Butler, is it Sam Gray or are we going to head to the draft now. Does this now make it more realistic that we will split the picks? get 2 first rounders and offer one to get an established player?

There is always a trade than comes out of the blue, and this could be it. I woudnt want Gus to go, but if he wants to go, then we hold the aces, we get maximum for him, pick 6 & Langdon or we dont talk.

Yep, let them enquire, and let them give us their pick they get for Brad Hill P6 and Langdon for Brayshaw and future second rounder. Imagine going in with PIck 3 & 6 and getting Langdon. It would soften the blow a little bit.

Yah good call DD, i had a small fwd as our other main priority.

If i asked everyone on here what out 2 biggest holes are on out list i imagine nearly 100% would say outside run and SKILL by foot. Langdon and Tomlinson ( to a degree) address the outside run. Young is the SKILL by foot and off half back.. to ignore this would be silly IMO.

It really feels like this is now more unlikely that it is likely, which is a shame a si had warmed to teh idea, but you cant lose what you didnt have. My interest now lie sin who is plan B. This club is getting roundly questioned over their intent during this trade period, and Tomlinson while underwhelming to the outside will play a role and Langdon is a really good get should we land him, if you added Elliott it would be a good trade period, so whats our plan b.. assume it will play out sooner now rather than later.

This 100 times over.. I am honestly suprised we have not been linked to him, (althogh who knows we may be but most of this stuff gets out) he is a good footballer, with great ability to read the play and has lovely skill and is a decent finisher.
