  1. We're absolutely cooked and it's hard to watch us play right now when we dish up performances like that and the one against the dogs game. We don't look like a premiership winning team at all, it's as if we didn't play in the finals last year. A bit of opposition pressure and we melt under it. I don't even know what our gameplan is anymore. It just seems like the coaches are insane, continuously doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If we don't like shootouts then we need to learn how to win them because finals footy simply won't always be a smashing like last year where we flew past the opposition. There'll be games in September which go down to the wire with either a Geelong, Sydney or Collingwood. We can't expect to play every game on our terms and dominate everyone, it just seems arrogant and completely senseless. We seem unable to wrestle back momentum in games the same way we were able to last year. Once we lose control we can't regain it, so frustrating.
  2. So much for our dynasty team. We have some of the best talent in the comp. it’s taken the Opposition 1 year to figure out how to beat us, our defence looks absolutely terrible now when teams play fast against. something in our method has to change for us to be dominant, especially next year.
  3. Looking back it was a pathetic performance. The only positive is that the two ladder leaders are now two victorian clubs who will likely play their home QF at the "G". We can still finish 2nd if we win both upcoming games but if we don't 15-7 is likely to finish us 3rd or 4th. This means we play at the G either way in the QF. My concern would have been having to play QF's in other states against Bris, Freo or Syd but that won't happen. Let's just hope our form is good enough to win the first QF and we'll be alright.
  4. Spot on. We dominated field position for a good 8min in the 3rd and got zero reward, quite laughable really. Straight down the other end, goal. That's what turned the momentum.
  5. Yep. Periodisation is an extreme balancing act and can back fire if it goes wrong. It seems to me that Griffith and in season injuries at critical times has really [censored] up our program. If we still had Burgess' excellence I'm sure he would have understood what to do and got it right regardless, but Griffith seems to have [censored] it. Not peaking like we should in terms of fitness. Clear as day.. No time to fix now unfortunately it's game over. Collingwood have really done well to balance and are running games out extraordinary, well done to them.
  6. Call me stupid but I knew that Langdons comments were an omen, and a negative one at that.
  7. We’re smashing them in all stats but still only 3 goals up, [censored]!
  8. Already conceading more that we want, Hopefully they tighten up defence but it was never gonna be easy
  9. The one thing that won’t happen, is we won’t run out of legs
  10. Although this may all be true, they are still capable of playing good footy and tonight's game would have no doubt pumped them up far more than any other one of those previous games. They will come out firing and I wouldn't assume their form against the bottom sides has to mean anything tonight. We however are better and just have to show it and bring our A game.
  11. Langdon really f'd up If you ask me. Knowing filth supports they're going to relish in this opportunity to hate on our boys by booing the hell out of May and now unfortunately Langers. Since they'll probably be in greater numbers this will drown us out. I hope this media overreaction has angered us to finally hand the filth the loss they deserve, otherwise we look like clowns. We are actually such a good team and it's time we show the opposition and competition our true premiership credentials. No more time for stuffing around, this is it. [censored] smash them!!!!!!
  12. They're $3.20 on points bet, pretty remarkable. Are the "experts" really so confident?
  13. I'm slowly getting a little nervous, if it was any other team I'd be fully confident but the pies seem to always hand it to us. I also reckon their supporters are going to drown us out... and I'm dreading the "Coooollinnngwoooood"... Their quick ball movement can be overwhelming when they get on a roll, hopefully with our settled defence we can somewhat take that out of their game. I feel like the dockers didn't challenge at all with their ball movement playing into our hands whereas I think the pies will go into the game with a "nothing to lose" attitude and take the game on with risk.
  14. If you're in the load believer camp all of these comments about "having no more edge" and "being in bad form as of recent" should not worry you. Obviously these blokes only focus on their own team but we know the dees only just finished their inter-season loading and last Friday's game against Freo was our first taste of what's to come as a result of the hard work. I like being underestimated. To the untrained eye we've been pretty poor since round 11 but those performances should be behind us. I have a feeling our mids will have a day out tomorrow and absolutely belt their mids, it'll be won and lost in the middle.
  15. Honestly if 75k is expected surely we could crack 80k. That would be massive. This game will not only attract supporters of both clubs but also neutrals. Who wouldn't want to watch a primetime 2nd v 3rd?
  16. You’re kidding, no way ANB gets dropped. He is the best inside 50 tackler/pressurer and a good leader. His unrewarded running is also up there with only the like of Langers
  17. Yes yes but when you roll an ankle there is likely a mild strain at the very least, imo this is a pretty big risk because if it isn’t properly healed that can get redamaged quite easily. I trust the medics though.
  18. God I want to punch those two in the face so hard. Two weeks ago Lloyd said we can't win the flag, what [censored].
  19. Odds for Friday keep drifting for the pies on PointsBet: Dees $1.37 vs Pies $3.10 Should have no problem finishing the game this time round, although we played crap last time we still lead in the last. I think the pies will be in for a reality check. Bring that ruthlessness and stingy defence and they shouldn't worry us.
  20. Either way the "G" Will be absolutely packed, hopefully many of us. We've had another week with lower volume training and should be running fitter and better than even the Freo game, oh how sweet it would be to roll them by 40-50 points and show them who's boss in front of the footy world.
  21. He's awesome, always keeps his feet in contests. He can burst away and is also very good below the knees. One of the best versatile forwards who can both play small and tall, and of course his goal kicking is elite.
  22. I had a look at the ladder predictor and top 2 is pretty much guaranteed if we go 2-1 from here. The only way we don't finish top 2 is if Brisbane beat Richmond this weekend and we lose to Brisbane in round 23, and if Collingwood win all their remaining games against: Port, Melb, Carl and Sydney. It is highly unlikely but of course if they somehow manage we fall out of top 2, but I don't see them going on a 13 game win streak. . I think it is likely Richmond beat Brisbane as their record at the "G" has been pretty poor including their form of late, so that will benefit us if indeed we slip up in round 23. Brisbane have to absolutely belt Carlton and St.Kilda to make up for the percentage gap which of course can also happen but I think Carlton will at least put up a solid fight. Otherwise any 1 loss to Coll, Carl or Bris won't see us miss a home QF. The chances are looking quite good, Let's goooo!
  23. We are as fit as a fiddle and right on cue. Funny how all the other aspects of our gameplan just fall into place. Feeling confident about the rest of the year. Go Dees !
