As a Demon supporter, trading for Harry McKay could be a game-changing move for our forward line.
McKay is a talented and dynamic key forward who over time will prove his worth on the field. His strong marking ability, goal kicking, and athleticism would complement our team's playing style and strengthen our scoring potential.
With McKay in our forward line, we could create a formidable attacking force and increase our chances of more success. Let's imagine the excitement of watching this bloke don the red and blue. I think it's time we seriously look at at trading for him?
Sadly, we are one year late. This should have been done before his new contract at Carlton l.

He cracked the sads when Roos moved him to defense. Said he wanted to play forward.
Left to Collingwood to play in, you guessed it, defense, then had a crack at Melbourne saying it’s nice to play in front of big crowds.
Hope he had a nice time watching us win a flag in 2021.
We also plucked him from nowhere while he was working as a sparky. He’s a tool.
He final found home at Collingwood then 😂😂

Or draft Curtin with our pick and trade him back to WA for Reid in 2 years. That way it only costs you one pick and we can trade up to get other good players.
But then Reid is on an open market, any VIC team could bid for him.

Hands down, we need to get this guy if there is a skerrick of a chance.
As long as WC believes they can get Curtain with our picks, that may be enough.

Probably the second worse away game to attend at the G after Collingwood.

Freo supporters digging their heels in and reckon the Jackson trade has been worth it.
Such a bunch of cute delusional purple idiots
I hope they think the same in 4 years when their salary cap is cooked and they are still a middle of the pack team with no aspirations. 😁

not when you have teams like meth coke and nordamelbin to distort %s
Yep, a lot of teams playing three or even 4 times against those two sides will get an advantage compared to others not so lucky.

Agreed but we also don't want to slip out of 4th.
I reckon we are almost a lock in the top 4. Win against North and Hawthorn means Dogs,GWS and Geelong would need to win all 5, at the very least 4, of the remaining 5 games.
Hard to see us losing the 4th spot if we win those two games that should be a given.

Should do this tonight…..
This may very well define our strategy moving forward in terms of resting players and managing the effort for each round.
We need to make sure all our superstars are in prime physical condition for finals.

Do we prefer to finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th?
Finish 4th and it's MCG against the Pies.
Finish 3rd and play Port or Brisbane at their home ground.
2nd looks unlikely but there is still a chance, which would be a home final against an interstate team.
I believe we are travelling better this year at the G, so my guess is that we prefer 2nd or 4th. We don't want to finish in 3rd.

For those purchasing tickets this week, remember it is our away game and the Demon Army will be in M33 in the Ponsford. M34-M36 95% sold out but they will but M29-M32 on sale today at some point.
Alternatively, if you hate your life, you can buy seats in the back of M3 and M4 and sit directly behind the Richmond cheersquad.
Are we expecting 70k plus on the Sunday?

Jack Viney needs to be in the conversation as the toughest and most courageous player in the AFL.
He is as tough as nails and probably eats broken glass for breakfast.
Loved the commentary on Ch7, he is a wildebeest! 😄

With pick 4 looking more and more likely we will be one of probably only 2 teams that could trade with WC. If they want Curtain then there’s no point in them trading for picks lower than 4 as there would be a strong chance Curtain could be gone.
With that in mind it will all depend how highly they rate Curtain- our first two first rounders might be enough to get the deal done.
I'm not in favour of giving up 3 firsts as I think we have a few holes to fill.I don't see many holes.
1 additional bull midfielder (Reid)
1 KPF
What else do we really need? (Short term)

I'm going to disagree here as well - we smashed them on scoring shots, that's one of my metrics for performance.
8.18 to 9.8
It's still out of 4 teams. 😇
If Collingwood had beaten us like that - and we were 3 games ahead of them and favourites, I'd be hoping Goodwin and Co would be going through that match in forensic detail to ensure it doesn't happen again vs resting on the fait acompli that a few players come back would make all the difference.
Our system comfortably beat their system.
And they got 2 or 3 dodgy shots during the last 3 minutes of the game, thanks to BS umpiring.

The kid is a freak!
Oliver was dominant early as well but never this clean and smart.
This is in no way debatable. You just need a hard tag on him and he becomes non impactful. Too skinny to cope with big bodies in the AFL, but not many teams have tried that.
He also played on the wing for the first half of the season.

Is it because Geelong is the country VIC club? Why so much love from the state government?

Makes me sick we lost to the Bombers this year. How the hell did that happen?!
[censored] preparation before the game.
Played in Perth on twilight Sunday. Took the red eye flight to be in Melbourne early morning on Monday. Then flew to Adelaide on Friday to play early Saturday afternoon.
We should've flown straight to Adelaide in hindsight.

Surely Carlton can't pay both McKay and Curnow In the long run. I was surprised they were able to offer long term contracts to both of them.
