Don't think Jackson was the answer either. He was supposed to be mainly ruck and midfield asset. Did we even try to lure McKay ? I thought Carlton didn't have enough money for both McKay and Curnow. At least not to pay them both handsomely.

We can thank our slow start for Lever's injury. In his desperation to stop a certain goal. Our defensive line is under the pump week in and week out, poor blokes they feel they need to stop any goal for us to have a chance to win. Constant supply inside our 50 will do that. 🥲

I believe some people are saying that the Saints may be offering a similar deal to Weitering? He may need the money because of the scam situation he was involved, hard to pass on a huge offer like that.

Unfortunately their current form makes all their speech after the Carlton loss feel like empty shallow words. They say they want us to win one at the G and celebrate with the Dees faithful... Actions speak louder than words.

You just have to consider the easy shot at goal he had, after he was gifted a [censored]. Nowhere near the goal, but he is an elite kick hey!

So the club can't deal with 10 day breaks, 9 day breaks, 5 day breaks. We need the perfect amount of breaks between games? We are really trying to find ways to cope with the performance of the team.

On Oliver, based on all the drama off the field and current form... it's starting to look like not out of the possibility to seek a trade for him. It may be the best for the club and him.

I think that even Kennedy could come out of retirement and do a better job than BBB, that's the sad reality.

All I am going to say is that I can't believe we couldn't get one decent KPF in the last two off seasons. It's been a clear hole in our list even after 2021. Isn't our team attractive enough? Surely we had some cap space to pay a decent 600k or so.

Viney is 29 Petracca 28 Oliver 27 Oliver has never been the most athletic player. Trac and Viney are bulls, but that means they don't really have speed so can get exposed on open field. It would be sad if at their age they are in their decline (I don't believe it),but it also begs the question on the development and training by the coaching staff.

There is not much we can do. Oliver a shell of his former self. Brayshaw forced to retire. Sparrow not the arrival we were promised. No more JJ or Harmsey. What else do we have? On top of that Petracca has to spend half the game in our fwd line because we can't generate goals.

That would be more a straight exit for Goodwin 🤭

It boggles the mind how a premiership team couldn't attract a half decent KPF two years in a row. I thought we had a chance with Georgiades or McKay, maybe a King brother. Nothing... Just Grundy and Petty to show for.

What players do you have in mind? Can we get Reid please 😅

Oliver and his off the field issues. Brayshaw retired. Sparrow not up to the level. We are short playing off JV and Petracca. And we need Petracca forward because our fwd line sucks.

I wish the podcast was live right now. Need something cathartic. Should we start contemplating a mini rebuild? We've got some great young guns but also a lot of veterans that are past it. Premiership window looks closed. We need also a revamp of the coaching staff, specially forward coach.

This, and the only * season was 2020. But of course all those supportes from other clubs trying to disregard our premiership year, are just jealous and wish they had won it themselves.

I understand that, and sorry you had to endure the dark years. But with this list straight sets exits two years in a row is mediocre tbh. GWS and Carlton have better weapons up forward unfortunately. And I am afraid that maybe even better coaching.

Come on a real contender doesn't lose this bad against a rebuilding team. It's not the loss as much as it is the way we lost, which started at selection.
