  1. In this increasingly mad mad world anything it seems is possible. So why not?
  2. One thing I am certain off is if we played the type of footy we did last year we would have absolutely no hope. With our new faster (and more exciting) game plan we are a chance, albeit it a very unlikely chance. But still a chance. Who knows. I’ll be there and watch it all unfold. GO DEES
  3. Footscray could get away with wearing that. Doesn’t look very ‘Melbourne’ to me
  4. Agree with everything you said. Taking a glass half full approach - I’d rather first quarter jitters than last quarter collapses Go Dees
  5. If only Collingeffingwood was in there as well to round out the bottom four
  6. Answer to ‘has any body tried to convert me?’ Yes, normally the god botherers that dress up well and knock on your door. Tough job for them, I am a rusted on atheist, but……..many years ago I had two Rottweiler dogs. You had to open a gate to get to my front door. The gate had a bell you could ring and there was a big sign that said ‘Dogs running free’ and a picture of a Rottweiler. Everyone without fail that didn’t know me or the dogs would ring the bell. Lo and behold one day I heard a knock on the front door. When I answered the door there were two god botherers. I was shocked and asked if they saw the sign. They said yes but believed that god would look after them. After I moved them on I went outside to look to see where the dogs were. They were both fast asleep in the back yard. I thought that there truly must be a god. Closest I’ve come to being converted!
  7. Underwhelming game. Guessing Collingwood were close to full strength. Look like they will be pushing to try and make the final 10 this year. Won’t be writing of GWS this early on. Few big names were missing
  8. Like different religious beliefs I don’t care who you believe in or who you think you are or identify as or whatever. Good on you. I hope life is good for you. (But please don’t try and convert me!) I judge people by what they say and do, not by what colour their skin is, what they say they are and who they believe in. As a general rule if you are a ‘minority’ I feel for you. It must get really tough for you at times. It bemuses me how some mainstream folk get so worked up about and fear and even sometimes hate anyone that is not 100% like themselves. Live and let live.
  9. Kings press conference after the game, he was proud and articulate. I kid you not, I was totally bewildered with Ross Lyon’s. Aside from being an arrogant f-wit, I honestly could not understand what he was rambling on about at times. Long live the King (and you have no idea how grateful I was when Buckley did not get the job)
  10. I’m pumped. Revenge is best served in the first round. GO DEES!!!!
  11. Had the same problem but found the solution below. (Scroll down etc) Bit clunky wasn’t it? (Or maybe I am just a living breathing dinosaur) Go Dees
  12. How is this for an oxymoron. I really don’t like this idea of hearing songs being played after each goal but I hope to hear plenty of it! (Presumption being that no songs are played when the opposition side scores) I think what annoys me the most was I liked having a chat with my mates after goals were kicked. Might be a bit harder to do now. Such is.
  13. Looked like two bottom four sides. Hope we are a cut above them
  14. Love the game but I am finding I grossly dislike most things that get packaged with it…..including songs after every goal
  15. I’m changing my tip to Melbourne winning next week
  16. Likewise. I tend to log out at the end of each quarter and then log back in at the start of the next quarter. All went south after half time. Tried the same on the tablet and had the exact same problem. Even went to effort to delete and reload app. Gave up and listened to the rest of the game on the radio. After the game I tried Kayo again and sure enough, it worked!!!
  17. I think that the multiple best and fairest winner, All Australian and Norm Smith medal winning premiership player is somewhat overrated. No great loss😢
  18. Game over. Only thing to look forward to is Chris Scott’s press conference. Too much to hope that he does a joint one with Figjam?
  19. Made me smile when I saw that Buckley was Geelong’s new defensive coach as the Suns piled on the goals in the opening quarter Sooooo glad we didn’t pick him up as our head coach.
  20. “Heath Shaw crept up on Reiwoldt like a librarian!”……priceless
  21. Always was and always will be …. a Melbourne champion
  22. Even though it has fallen from grace from its glory years, when compared with the Feral Hun, it is respected and revered.
  23. I noticed that they were 25 minute quarters
  24. I just want us to beat effing Collingwood
