  1. There’s no level 1 availability, those two bays have wheelchair accessibility which is why they show up as available. a thread was made weeks ago that this game was going to be sold out shortly.
  2. Fixture has been loaded into The Age early again: Round 16: Brisbane V Melbourne, Friday 28 June, 7:40pm, GABBA Round 17: Melbourne v West Coast, Sunday 7 July, 1:10pm, MCG (WOO A RED BALL GAME AT THE G) Round 18: Melbourne v Essendon, Saturday 13 July, 7:30pm MCG Round 19: Fremantle v Melbourne, Sunday 21 July, 1:20pm Perth time (3:20pm AEDT), Optus Round 20: Melbourne v GWS, Saturday 27 July, 7:30pm, MCG Round 21: Western Bulldogs v Melbourne, Friday 2 August, 7:15pm, Marvel Round 22: Melbourne v Port Adelaide, Saturday 10 August, 7:30pm MCG Round 23: Gold Coast v Melbourne, Saturday 17 August, 1:45pm, HB WTF Saturday nights against interstate sides.
  3. I was very much under the impression that it is still 2 for this year.
  4. We’ve had 2, can’t have any more.
  5. Normally I would say that the Pies would get the Friday night slot, but I suspect it may be given the Saturday 4:35 because that's the new AFL favourite slot (after 1 game fml) and allows people from Geelong to get to the game.
  6. Yep but he has gone the early crow with tomorrow, other sources are saying the fixture won't be out before Thursday. One other thing that is almost certain is that the Dogs game at Marvel in round 21 will be a Friday night because there are three marvel games that week and the other two involve st kilda and brisbane and Richmond and north. Expect the pies game in round 24 to be a Friday night but only released in July. Hoping that the games against West Coast, Ports and GWS at the G are a Saturday 2:10 or Sunday 1:10 so that we finally get some red ball footy at the G.
  7. Love how he goes on AFL360 and tells us how hard his job is and then pleads for umpires to not be abused, yet is absolutely derelict in his duty when he has to make any important calls.
  8. Ye, I think its a dangerous thing to say "if JVR isn't penalised we win the game," we would still be 2 goals down and it negates anything that actually happened after.
  9. Umpiring was seriously poor but it has no bearing on the game. We win the game 76-41 after giving up a 36-point Head Start. Don't give them the head start and you win by 6 goals and aren't blowing up over the umpiring.
  10. For those wanting to sit behind the Cheersquad, M33 has just gone on sale on ticketek.
  11. Have to be really careful with the non free kicks point in the midfield because we get away with as much as anyone. Carlton will say the same thing about Oliver and petracca. Christian in particular gets away with a lot. Forwards are a different case because you wouldn’t dare lay a finger on poor Charlie and Harry.
  12. No GA on level 1 anywhere in the ground. level 4 ga is: Q1-Q11 all rows Q12-Q15 rows K-MM Q29-Q36 all rows Q49-Q55 rows M-MM
  13. Melbourne cheer squad will be in M33 but all of level 1 around it is reserved. You can still upgrade into M32 or M33 or even back of M33 should still go on sale.
  14. Nope, thats the final crowd figure, very easy to obtain that seeing as the stadiums tweets the crowd figures with 5 minutes to go in the game and they flash them on scoreboards. What we are talking about is that the MCC used to put up a pre-match estimated crowd figure on the MCG website for all games on the Thursday before the round started.
  15. Stopped after Covid, 2019 was the last year they did it.
  16. miss the days where they used to put the estimated crowd on their website. Do you have a source in the MCC?
  17. GA areas are near identical (5% less reserved seat areas this year) to the game in round 22 last year which drew 68.5K. Differences are the AFL is about 5% ahead on level 4 and the MCC is about 10% behind on level 4. Personally, Im expecting 61K with my range of 58-65, given its a Thursday and they are coming off a loss where their reserved seat holders all showed up so am expecting a small drop off their. If it were a Friday Night (thanks afl) and had they have won last week I would have said 75K.
  18. Because they were and are dirty and have terrible tackling technique particularly around peoples necks.
  19. Doesn't help that the AFL want Carlton to do well.
  20. Our zero differential shows how useless the stat is when we have games where we have lost the free kick count 21-9 and won the count 24-12. Its a roll of the dice what the umps are going to do on a given day. Its all about what doesn't get paid and where certain free kicks are paid(looking at some real soft ones Charlie Curnow is going to get in front of goal)
  21. Sad thing is I could probably do this for nearly every MCG game in the past 10 years.
  22. He would learn a lot, but we would also concede a hell of a lot. JVR/May arent mobile enough to play on Cameron. No Key backs in the competition are. I'd put Tmac on him and tell him to run straight lines up the wing all night with him.
  23. We arent even close to looking at 60K. If we look at things objectively, we bring 25-30K to a game like this, i can't see any more than 20K of them attending and its not going to be a big neutral turn out. MCC sales arent good enough for this to be a 60K which is what we rely on. Happy to be wrong, but we are looking at high 40s, low 50s.
  24. Hard to gauge because we haven't had a game at the MCG where both teams are in the 8 in a non-covid year since Rd 1 2018 which drew 54K on a Sunny Sunday 3:20pm that was at the same time as the F1. AFL, MCC and public sales are way ahead of the round 1 game against the Dogs (44K). However, also have to consider that Saturday Nights never draw well, and it makes it hard for Cats fans to come up from Geelong. My guess is 48K but wouldn't be surprised if its as low as 40K or high as 55K.
  25. I hate this lot, their colours make me ill. Just wanted people to know.
