  1. The problem is that the AFL did actually suspend the bloke. The tribunal is seemingly very easily swayed by the better players in our game. The AFL does also sometimes seem to operate like a bush league when it comes to punishments. They always make a scapegoat out of a lesser player or smaller club (ie Nibbler 4 weeks for a sling tackle) and usually find a way to get their golden boys at Collingwood/Carlton/Richmond off.
  2. I think a lot of Melbourne supporters are apologists for just about everything and everyone to do with the club and itโ€™s why they get so upset when we start criticising our own. Have to set minimum standards for all involved regardless of how good they have been and that will build a stronger culture.
  3. I think this is taking it slightly out of context. Everyone wants him to succeed but would admit that his year has been below par compared to our expectations of him (if expectations are that high we are going to be let down given his last 12 months). He needs the next pre-season to get himself into the right physical space to allow him to be his best self and build a proper base. He will be much better in 2025 provided he can keep himself right off field. What we can't have, is his performance against North where he allows his frustrations to negatively affect the whole team.
  4. Having a go at the IQ of some people and yet you can't spell "you're" correctly. He is overweight for a footballer because he had no pre-season and was practically off the rails for 3 months. I was told to have a look at the game and retorted with I haven't missed one all year, nothing about being entitled to my opinions, just that I go to and watch all our games and then go home and watch the replay. Go and take your pot shots at people to Bigfooty if you want to make an account just to have a go at people.
  5. Any good midfielder is going to get 20 tocuhes if they play there all day. He has lost his touch, was missing handballs all day and just looked a mile off. Numbers don't tell the story.
  6. I said overweight, not fat. He doesnt have a belly like me. If it was me, he would have been dropped after KB but obviously Petracca going down means we don't have enough options.
  7. Haven't missed a game home or away this year, don't tell me to have a closer look. He is overweight, he was never the most athletic build but he's clearly overweight. Refer to picture, he is miles away from being fit.
  8. It does not constitute disrespect to point out simple facts that he's overweight, lost his touch, badly out of form, unfit and generally being a liability with his lack of discipline. Yes, he's a champion of our club but he isn't that player right now and like any other professional footballer, he is going to receive criticism. He needs a full pre-season and hopefully his 2025 will be infinitely better than he has been this year.
  9. If we are on life support maybe we could be offered morphine at the ground, would certainly make the watching a more pleasant experience.
  10. A big f you to all the reserved seat members who didnโ€™t show up, absolutely pathetic turnout from us tonight. As for the team, we are broken, people need to stop blaming the umpires. Fritsch and Oliver should be made to walk to Brisbane because neither are getting dropped. Petty can start walking to Adelaide, they can have him free of charge.
  11. Certainly sound like a goodwin apologist.
  12. Ye apologies, I read that wrongly, though the below line is definitely confusing with regards to the field of women on BCNA website. "MCG entry gates for Field of Women will open from 5.30pm.
  13. If you think he can coach then i'm happy for you. Proof is there that he's a stubborn autocrat who's wasted the last 2 years. Shache as a sub in a semi-final tells you all you need to know. He will not be a head coach at AFL level again. Go and read the Adelaide boards and see what they think of one of their own as a coach.
  14. We can only hope that sales for the virtual seats are low because the field of women is selling well and we can get an extra 5,000 people on the G for it.
  15. Goodwin won't coach again after Melbourne, everyone else knows he's incompetent. Bevo way too tough for our playing group.
  16. A genuine sellout, but that is 85-88 these days. Almost impossible to get to 90,000 for any game other than Anzac Day during the home and away season.
  17. Ok, if skewing the statistics and ignoring blatant facts makes you happy then sure.
  18. They play four games a year in Launceston so your numbers are not a true reflection. 2017 we were a 12-10 team and in 2018 we played in a prelim so not sure what you are on about.
  19. The average crowds as a percentage of members are a great stat for us and we have always done well in that area. That doesn't mean that we are a bigger club than that poster seems to think we are.
  20. The criticism is BS because people expect us to be bigger than we actually are. Hawthorn are easily a bigger club than us, spare me with that argument. They just drew 37,000 against Adelaide for a game that was 13th v 14th, we wont get near that (the 33k against them last year was excellent for us).
  21. We still have home games against North/West Coast/Port/GWS and none of those are going to hit 30K plus the usual 13K on the Gold Coast when we go up there and Brisbane could be under 25K this year at the Gabba. Understand we have Essendon and Collingwood as home games but our average attendance is going to drop considerably. We are not big 4. We have our own little place below Collingwood/Carlton/Richmond/Essendon and just below Hawthorn and probably Geelong. As [censored] as it sounds, People are usually right when they say our crowds are bolstered by having home and away games against the big 4.
  22. Like you, my old man and I walk into 2A for any games against saints/dogs/north/Hawks/Cats or interstate teams and sit in the unused Medallion Club seats. I reserve against the bigger sides and know a few tricks that get me in early for the on sale.
  23. Have 1 ticket on level 2A of the AFL Reserve that Iโ€™m looking to offload. in Bay P21, would like it to go to a demon. Im in the MCC so wonโ€™t be using this one.
  24. @WalkingCivilWar, has Collingwood confirmed if we have all of M3?
