It's probably a longshot to get Humphrey to MFC, he can bide his time trying to win flags at GC and then get to Hawthorn or Collingwood in 2029, or even take a $3M sign-on bonus at Tasmania who can take him as a FA. I actually think there's more incentive for GC to do the deal than there is for Humphrey, they're not getting a Petracca when he's traded in future. But it's really up to Humphrey.

If we get Humphrey for Petracca we need to sign and run. It's a great deal for both clubs. We're not getting a Humphrey any other way and GC aren't getting a Petracca for him when he inevitably leaves at the end of his contract. We just need to sell it to Humphrey and "it's gonna take money, a whole lot of spending money"

It's Humphrey for Petracca or we keep Petracca. He's a sooky prima-donna but he's a pro. No doubt he'll be back for the RedBull camp in Europe in ripping shape for the pre-season. I wouldn't take 6 + 7 + Ainsworth in a deal unless our ambition is to end up 17th next year and enjoy pick 2 in next year's draft. Go full @WERRIDEE and select a starting, bench and depth midfield for 2026 without Petracca, Oliver and without a proper replacement. It's fugly!

WC negotiate in good faith first and offer pick 19, Judd has a decision to make but probably still wants to go to Freo but now there's a real bid that Freo need to at least match, if they don't and Judd holds firm and so does MFC ... well there's the PSD and WC tried their best but were forced to go there.
