He's a beautiful kick.
-
His set shot kicking really improved last year. The only other player I've seen make more improvement was Robbo.

From a quick look at that footage. Freeman won plenty of contested footy and is clean ball-handler - yes his kicking looks a bit dodgy. His ability to run with the ball is very impressive. Lennon looks more like a flanker than a mid to me.. Kolo and Bonto aren't mids. Dunstan looks good, maybe a little slow but good contested, clean and a very nice kick. Salem has some mid attributes. Freeman for me.

Yes, ambitious isn't it. Saints have got 41 too. Maybe Jamar + 40 for 41?

AFL NATIONAL DRAFT - Pick 57 or is it 58?

Hopefully Kelly O'Donnell has someone already in mind. -
Jamar out (Brisbane or St.Kilda for a pick upgrade) - Jolly in would not surprise me in the least.
-
I'm not sure that our dealing is complete yet - there's plenty of water to flow under the bridge - so best 22 is up in the air.

I'm very keen on Cross still. http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/daniel-cross-melbourne.1031940/page-5#post-30691679

You want him to come out quickly and say we're still gonna be no good?
-
Nervous about that Pies upgrade - Hine is a great operator and Taylor is his protege.
-
Come on Fan, give a little. Sylvia was an erratic footballer but curiously he played some of his most consistent footy under Neeld - I would have like to keep him but with Vince as a replacement it's neutral outcome. No-one was "wetting themselves" over Rodan and Pedersen but I'll be wetting myself when Clark and Dawes get fit. I haven't lost a minute of sleeping over Rivers and saying that Moloney is our best midfielder is like saying Dopey is the tallest dwarf. And as of this week Moloney would probably be 5th tallest dwarf - yeah it could be handy to have him but where Neeld alienated Moloney, he attracted Dawes. Everyone is glad Neeld has gone but the overall list management of that period is positive IMO.

I don't think GWS are interested in MORE draft picks. Apparently GWS think that Shaw for Adams is insufficient and want a later pick upgrade. The problem is Collingwood is going to trade their 2nd and 3rd rounders in the upgrade 11 to 6 deal. The only pick upgrade Collingwood can offer is 10 for 22 and that's too much IMO. I think ultimately the straight swap gets done.

No you didn't, there's no way your ruck selection Gawn can take 100% of non "forward rucking", someone has to give him a chop-out, including centre bounces and all around the ground. The only player in your line-up that can do that id Clark and if Gawn gets injured then Clark's doing it all. I don't have a problem with this, any other solution, as Nasher says, is unbalanced. Every line-up I looked at on this thread has this set-up - whether they realise it or not (maybe someone has Fitz on the bench).
-
I like your posting Adam, but if Clark isn't rucking that line-up who is?
-
Sylvia : )
-
GWS desperate to get the Shaw deal done - Adams will end up a Collingwood.
-
$100 on Viney for the Rising Star if he's still eligible would be a good bet IMO.
-
I haven't looked at all the line-ups but the ones I did pretty much all have Clark rucking - an idea I am in favour of. Fitzpatrick appears to be insurance IMO - I think we need to retain that insurance. If Blease, Tapscott and Strauss can't make our 22 ...
-
Caution about our prospects is understandable after recent history. And we haven't had any really good players come onto out list for a very long time. But I was surprised how good Mitch Clark was in early 2012 - he is genuine star quality and if he can get back we've got a lot to look forward to.
-
Maybe some pick upgrade action 58 into the 40s, 40 into the 2nd round will be harder to achieve.
-
Not change for me. I haven't seen any of the U18 play so I'm just going off description. But with Viney and Jones I I just don't see short-arse inside mid as #1priority. Freeman description more attractive.
-
Wonder if thorp could play back - what's his pace like?
-
Crouch doesnt sound like our primary need.
-
Fascinating that the pies want to upgrade 10 to 6. With Mcdonald at 8 that only puts them ahead of brisbane at 7 and us at 9 - they must be worried their target will be picked there - I wonder who?
-
Like the sound of Freeman.
