TMac also gets caught in no mans land in transition as well, neither at the contest nor a kick behind/in front of play. Might as well not be out there a lot of the time. I was a huge fan of his but he just cannot get into a run let alone glide across the ground like he used to.

Won't be much of a loss tbh on current form. Unfortunately the next cab off the rank would be Bailey Laurie and that fills me with very little confidence.

This is not the coach's fault. This is the players continually failing to chain by hands along the wing, and classless foot skills from players like Clayton Oliver skying the ball instead of trying to pick a target. Spargo has gone out of the game as has Hunter. Only Viney and Langdon are giving us any potential good looks at goal by moving the ball along the wing. Unfortunately Langdon is about the softest player in the comp at the moment and Viney isn't really too skilled by hand. On top of that, we can't win any clearances and have decided not to put a ruck in our forward 50 stoppages which is…unique at best. Put Clarry there at least, to give him a chance to touch the ball and use his hands.

Oliver is killing me. He and Langdon need to lift big time.

Our ball movement along the wings is terrible and Carlton are giving us nothing.

Langdon is a shadow of himself. Every time the ball goes to him he finds a way to stuff it up.

Smith great mark - looks our most dangerous forward.

The ball movement after starting well is starting to get a bit of headless chook about it, and Carlton are killing us on the rebound. Langdon can't win a one on one to save himself, and Hunter despite being good tonight isn't much better in that area. Also can't win a centre clearance. Gawn is flagging imo.

Not a fan of Max's centre bounce tap work tonight - he's letting Carlton have first use of the ball. Clarry's up and under kicks are also killing us.

Jeez. Perfect quarter basically except for Max letting that centre clearance be taken away by his opposing ruck for a clean entry to de Koning. Spargo really lively.

Disappointing to allow a quick entry out of the centre after Carlton score a goal. Gawn has to lock that in there.

Interesting strategy to give Max a rest - no ruck at all.

Just as good as last week imo, but it's the ball movement getting it in there quicker that is creating these scoring opportunities. Tomlinson huge defensively covering for the aggressive ball movement.

Is there any doubt anymore that Tomlinson is in our best defensive setup? Hope Goody can see it.

That Tomlinson kick to the pack would 100% have been marked by Moore last week. Instead they spoiled each other. Carlton's ability to handle our forward dominance will be heavily tested. 2 goals up early. The start we would have dreamed of.

Ball movement is so so so much better this week.
