    I like Simon Goodwin but could he please stop using that word "humble"? Humble is amazing in everyday life, but it has no place in my footy club after what we've endured. I see humble and I read "meek." Jack Watts is humble. Jimmy Toumpas is humble. I don't want humble. I want "demonic".

    I was expecting this to be from Mark Robinson. I even had my snarky post all lined up; I was gonna say: "There's only one Robbo I care about and his name ain't Mark."

    A "quantum" of anything is the smallest possible unit of that thing, so I think we should be aiming for a bit more than that.

    In the last few rounds of the 2017 season, I came to view "Bullen" as (I think I called him in one of our gameday threads) "legit one of out most important players". I think that was a reflection of our diminishing prospects as the year wound down; but at the same time I think it shows that when we get out better players back for a stretch of the year, players like ANB will be extremely handy 16th-22nd players on any given low-rating footy gameday.

    Flippin' finally! I've been waiting 10 years for this to be the case. As great as teenagers will tell you they are, the sad fact is that a man (even a non-ridgy-didge man) is vastly superior to even the most "promising" man-child.

    My grandfather managed it somehow (of course back then it was only 36 years). Kids are soft and footy should be sufferingly hard. That makes the demons the best because to support Melbourne is to choose suffering over joy.

    I'm happy for the tigers but I'm getting a bit sick of all these old Victorian clubs winning premierships at last while we continue to languish.

    When one team is dominated by stars and the other plays well because of a collective of good performances.

    As soon as Gawny said "I'm probably going to go for a run today" in his "I'm Shattered, We're All Shattered" video, I knew they didn't actually care all that much about being as good as they can be. "Probably going for a run" is something I do as a halfway fit IT student. A professional footy player should be a little more committed than that.

    My Port Adelaide supporting cousin is over to visit. I'm lucky she has her priorities in order. She's only minorly devastated. I'd be going mental if it were me.

    I hate WCE but they're a proud footy club.

    Adelaide is dead to me this finals series. In fact now that I think about it, footy is pretty much dead to me for the rest of this year.
