Whispering Jack is a lawyer so I just assumed bacon was off limits because of, y'know…cholesterol.
-
In this case two wrongs make a football act.
-
The "without limitation" here rankles a bit, given how many things they've mentioned explicitly.

I like Laura Kane and think she's a breath of fresh air, but this is just muddying the issue more. I know in previous years the AFL would just double down on any decision but that's what you have to do. You can't be going around undermining your own umpires saying they've got it wrong on something even the fans are debating about.

MFCSS is an unlimited resource surely? If we could tap into it, we'd power the whole world infinitely.

It's such a hard one. My dad raised me to use the knee as a weapon, but deep down I feel it's wrong. At the top level, I'd do it all the time and force the AFL to make a decision on it. Until it's outlawed, I'm not going to begrudge any player from going the knee within the rules.

Aren't clubs warned about this as part of the official AFL rules already? So a second warning then?

How a fractured thumb keeps a player out for 3-4 weeks but breaking three ribs and a vertebrae is 1 week I'll never know. Shows the importance of the thumb in handling the ball I suppose.

Looks like we could notch up a fair few this year: The big one to look out for: Petracca in the Finals series potentially. Spargo just needs a couple more to hit 100. Pickett will likely get his hundredth, and Sparrow's a good chance in the finals too assuming he plays every game and we make it. Tomlinson would be doing pretty well to get his 200 this year. EDIT: Added in Hunter (thanks Demon Jack).

I feel silly for saying this to a man who has chosen to run his own football fan forum, but who cares?!? It's round three!

Lightning warning again. Just pack it up and go home.

Hawks starting to show a bit of ticker? Hopefully they're able to make this some sort of a contest in the 2nd half. Nearly fell asleep there for a bit.

Thought it was a good stat in theory but once again like “pressure rating” the metrics behind the points aren’t explained by the statisticians where needed. Using “points” as a metric in a game where some metrics use literal points scored is deceptive.

3AW ???

With modern nutrition I doubt Don Cordner would have capped out at 188cm.

What are those weird silver and gold objects on the picture? Nah just kidding I was born before 2000.
-
What would you prefer? No lines, no circle, but also no holding - basically like boundary throw-ins as they're adjudicated now (keep a metre distance until the ball is bounced/thrown up)? What would stop players like Grundy taking all of Gawn's space? IMO there needs to be a neutral zone that you can't cross till the ball's in the air.

What rules are they? Genuinely interested.

If Dixon couldn't get it done against McDonald and Lever (and Hore) I don't think Tex can given his performance this year.

Nice to see OOOZZEE get the Gatorade shower. Never thought I'd be this quick to forgive the tigers their flags, but they might be in 2nd team contention this year for me, with Adam coaching them.

Boy the Squiggle loves us (flagpole height indicates statistical ranking in the comp): https://live.squiggle.com.au/#

This comparison really sells it. He's got elite attributes comparable to the best qualities of absolute greats but all put together in a single 7 foot tall bearded package.

West Coast are so unbelievably awful. It's a bad look for the competition but they can't be getting any bonus picks just yet. They won a flag 6 years ago. Need another 4 years at least of performances like this before priority picks come onto the table for a team that won so many flags in the AFL era and has won one so recently. Still it's a bad look for the comp - one dud game per week.

As we should. Langdon's really damaging IMO, much moreso than Hunter and probably Brayshaw (Brayshaw's strength as a winger was his versatility, overhead marking and leadership). Langdon was a critical offensive weapon for us in '21, and we moved away from that incorrectly imo. Just look at his game last night.
