Every club gets a 5 day break at least once in the year. Maybe the club decided this would be a good place to put it, and actually requested this. It does allow the squad to stay in SA the two weeks while still minimising the whole length of the overall trip for the club and families. I haven't heard Goodwin or anyone else from the Melbourne side complaining about this situation.

Whispering Jack is a lawyer so I just assumed bacon was off limits because of, y'know…cholesterol.

In this case two wrongs make a football act.

The "without limitation" here rankles a bit, given how many things they've mentioned explicitly.

NON-MFC: Round 03
I like Laura Kane and think she's a breath of fresh air, but this is just muddying the issue more. I know in previous years the AFL would just double down on any decision but that's what you have to do. You can't be going around undermining your own umpires saying they've got it wrong on something even the fans are debating about.

It's such a hard one. My dad raised me to use the knee as a weapon, but deep down I feel it's wrong. At the top level, I'd do it all the time and force the AFL to make a decision on it. Until it's outlawed, I'm not going to begrudge any player from going the knee within the rules.

Aren't clubs warned about this as part of the official AFL rules already? So a second warning then?
