I haven't seen any reports about Sydney wanting him either. I have seen reports about Martin going to Richmond at 3, and extrapolated that Sydney's desire for Pick 3 and not Pick 4 is because they want what Richmond want - Dustin Martin. Come on, HT. You're better than that.

If he goes into the ND, he doesn't want to play for Melbourne. So this 'strategic mistake' nonsense is just that. If we came out and said we will spend Pick 18 on him, we would get the ire of fans who think we should get a kid, we would be forcing the club down his throat - it would be counter productive. I think Sydney or Port will get him before, or after (with Port), Pick 18 so I don't believe that the ND is an attractive option for LB. It's the hard decision to stay with the Saints, or the harder decision to play for the Demons.

Another solid season. Will finish third to Davey and Beamer in the Bluey. Will play HBF next season and should continue to do well.

Oh noes!! RR and I tagged team another poster... We are so mean.

Wow... (Don't be patronising, don't be patronising, don't be patronising...) There is only space for McDonald and Bruce on the VL as Bruce will take Robertson's spot. Only 2 Vets outside the main list. OK?

He doesn't exist, Nasher. He's a fable concocted by a cunning criminal, preying on the ignorance and gullibility of a few lawmen who so desperately wanted to believe his beautiful lies and seductive stories. Anyway... You never said that to me... That hurts...

Just a lot of confused people yelling at the gods... They don't know what happened, nor do we. For Luke - it's going to be a hard decision, or a harder decision. I hope he makes the harder decision.

Clubs losing players will be given a 'value pick' as compensation. Miller would get probably 40 something if he went.

In that unlikely event, yes, we would require a second thought on drafting him at 18. Until he does this, I will not indict. He will either make the hard decision to stay at a club on far less money for a coach that doesn't want him, or he will make the harder decision to come to the back-to-back wooden spooners and start a new, demanding, chapter in his life. BTW, Sydney wished to trade Picks 6 and 14 to Richmond for Pick 3, they rate this draft less than I do and Ball will not get to 18 if goes in the ND. Port or Sydney will snap him up. I really don't think he will go that route.

The 'clearly second to Scully' was poorly phrased. What I meant was that Trengove is clearly better than the third best prospect - and that is simply from what little I have seen, read, and chatted about with a few people who know a lot more than I. To me, both are as good a prospect as each other, with Scully pushing himself above Trengove with impressive interviews, and his obvious professionalism.

I can bake. How about a monthly batch of chocolate brownies or blueberry muffins if he agrees to come? I guess that the nutritionist wouldn't like him to eat those though... You're gonna have to get back to me on this...

McNamara has got promise as a utility, and Cheney is a neat kick, is courageous, and can take a mark, he gets lost a bit when picking up someone but had a solid 1st year of AFL. Batram cannot kick and has limited awareness, I struggle to see him playing in our midfield next year. Run with roles can be given to other players as an exercise in development. And Buckley's injuries worry me, as I'm sure, they do Simon and the club.

He made a pact with himself at 14 that he wouldn't have a drink, because he wanted to get drafted and play footy. He wasn't on the [censored] at 14, but it's the time when kids start to do stupid things - and drinking too much is one of them. For me, Trengove is clearly second to Scully. Both would be capable of handling the expectations that come with being number 1, but Scully seems to want this life like no kid that has come before him. The countdown will see Trengove at 2, and Scully at 1. And I will have it on the IQ for a while...

What have these players done for us not to honour their contracts? Not develop? That's our fault. They were never good enough? We picked them up in the first place. Unless they are doing stupid things (Carroll) - honour their contracts. Batram, Buckley, McNamara, and Cheney are the only ones that I know of that are OOC. 1, 2, 11 and PSD1 are priorities in my mind. Bruce on the VL (due to Robbo delisting), Whelan, Wheatley, and McLean out provide space for those picks. 1 has to go for Pick 18 - Batram 2 have to go for Pick 34 - Batram & Buckley If Pick 34 is not considered as good a prospect as Buckley then don't use that pick. We don't have to use that pick. Depending on how the medicos see Buckley's OP I would be prepared to forget about 34.

I'm prepared to get some shapes. Coz, I is hungry. What I have to do? I give my money so I can sit back and let CS, CC, TH, BP, and DB do it. Should I give money? Should I make a banner to be placed outside his house? Should I offer my services for a gratitious sex act? Should I blackmail potential recruits? OK, I'm having a little fun. But seriously...

Well said. It would be great to see Ball in Red & Blue at the bottom of a few packs. And a 'Leadership Position' is not a lure, it is an immediate burden that not many would want to see going to a new organisation. He will be a leader, because he has been leading footy teams since he was 8, you don't need to tacitly say that we are relying on him for that leadership, and that we have no-one else, by giving him the VC.
-
Good player is Clearly. 1, 2, 11, 18 , 34, and PSD1 requires another 2 deletions with Spencer and Co. staying on the RL if they wish to stay. As RR said - Buckley, Batram, Cheney, and McNamara are OOC. Pick 2 or possibly 1 if you wish to keep over Pick 34. For me, it would be Batram and Buckley, or just Batram.

Love to see the bloke at the club. Great leader. I guess it will reopen the old chestnut "Can we play with Moloney, Jones, and Brock/Ball?" Doesn't worry me for one reason, and it is a very selective idea - Ball is an in-and-under clearance player, and Brock is not(Ball had 6+ clearance in 7 occasions out of 17 during the regular season). McLean was a Lenny Hayes style accumulator of possessions. I would prefer to have Beamer as the 80m player he used to be - get the handball receive, run 25m and kick it 55m. We'll see...
-
Forget the Powerpoint. Tell Luke Ball to go over to Moloney's place and watch this on his computer. That'll do mfcnow, that'll do.

Hey! It was Marge's suggestion...

It's disgusting...shocking...unholy...just awful... People on here read Vex News?! Utterly revolting... This is a delicate issue. No comment.

Don't engage. Just look blankly, and sidle on by.

If this was last year we would not be able to take Watts or Blease. Game. Set. Match. Wooohoooo. Chugga-chugga-chugga-chugga-chugga-chugga. "Is this a robbery?" ------ "It's a science experiment."

You, of all people? Jeez... A third of the kids normally eligible are not eligible. That equals a thin draft. RR has come aboard the train to reason, time for the rest of you to... Read. My. Signature.
