  1. I think they are showing him as damaged goods that needs a change in scenery but with 2 years left and his mental health issues are doing it delicately. Aside from Haw and ESS most clubs are run well.
  2. Yes, it should lead to further disaster and one can only hope.
  3. I have always wanted a player with an elite ability to get oxygen into their muscles.
  4. Yes, but Gawn is older and more banged up and the FD obviously would like him to be FF and the the back up to a superior ruck, so he isn’t forced back in there when we are struggling. Gawn as a forward has its pros and cons, but, injuries aside, Grundy should be able to provide more than Jackson did of course.
  5. Some blokes just don’t have it. You’d be wasting Williams’ time.
  6. We are also a beneficiary of a salary dump - getting Grundy for a pick in the late 20s. GC wanted to get rid of the contract and they did what they did.
  7. Again, where is that stated. I have seen and heard $1.5m of the $5m owed. What the ‘loading’ is is not mentioned and also would be something we and the AFL would have to agree.
  8. That means nothing really. He would tweet that ‘the sun may set in the west at this stage, or the east if that was possible. North or South other options. It will get done by the end of the day. Huge if it happens.’
  9. Nice try, GNF…
  10. Maybe. But we got a Demon God out of that deal. Might be time to build a bridge people…
  11. We used GC to get ND3 that got us Oliver in 2015…
  12. Possibly
  13. Yes, that orgy was against god and nature! And the flyer has the WRONG ADDRESS 😡
  14. Again, he won’t be again. He will be FF moving into the ruck.
  15. Looking forward to 2023. Of the $$$ is what is mooted this is great value. Gawn won’t ever be AA ruckman again and that’s ok. If he can kick 30+ goals and allow us to kick to the top of the square then great. Let’s fashion a fwd line around that.
  16. I find your reasoning Schache at best…
  17. The points system is indicative value to allows F/S and academy bids. The need to constantly look at points value to convince oneself that a club would abandon a top selection is utter nonsense. Picks 13 and 35 do not ‘equal or exceed’ Pick 7. ‘ I have 4 picks in the 20s - can you please give me pick 1 please?’ 🙄
  18. No player with the name ‘Jaxon’ will be successful, I’m sorry.
  19. We are a club known to get what it wants done, and not sweat small distractions like what ‘value’ we are supposed to get on individual deals. Like the flag winning defence that ‘we paid too much for’…
  20. Swings and roundabouts. We got Lever, we lose Jackson. Our best have stuck around and will be around for ages. Jackson looks like being a gun but that is yet to be seen. What we do with these picks I am more interested in. State borders and distance should not be a determining factor in who we draft.
  21. We did the same thing with Lever.
  22. Assuming we went tall forward hunting and flamed out, one benefit might be with these long term contracts to CP5, AB10, and CO13 is the ability to upfront some of what we owe. That will make it easier to target players longer term. Small comfort but still valuable. I kind of want them to keep their powder dry from here and see what our hand looks like next year and target a King in the North maybe…
  23. He has a partner? Might be time to make the leap… I know when I moved in with girlfriends it came with very good, mixed, sometimes bad results. I’m sure it will be great, meh, lead to him wanting to leave the state.
