  1. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/jimmy-unity-and-a-sense-of-history-help-lift-melbourne-20100811-11zp9.html Here you go.
  2. Yes, two posts of mine have pointed out an overuse of punctuation... Sue me. And my point if you give a flying, Robbie - is that I don't care how Denham/Smith/Robinson/Sheahan perceive the club. I care about particular problems and issues. I relaise perception is important as I said and you ignored earlier - PR is important, I just don't give a fig about it. And 'lethargy of supporters'?! Get of your self-righteous high horse or let me stay on mine, you can't have both.
  3. Addam is out of contract I believe.
  4. So my posts have no point and I just 'tow the line' of the MFC... lol Why, if you feel this, do you care what I think? Oh, and I think you misread an earlier post in this thread where I think you made the leap that I don't care about any problems people think we have. What I said was I don't care about perceptions, I care about fixing any issues that have arisen. I am not this 'brainwashed, unquestioning, overpositive evil' that you seem intent on calling out on Demonland every few weeks...
  5. We have two comp picks we can use next year. Mid frst round (Pick 11ish) and an 'immediately after first pick' (Pick 13ish).
  6. Happy to. If it is eloquent and coherent enough to be useful. Epithets and vague indignations are rarely useful.
  7. Had a great 2011 against poor teams. Obviously a leader. Hope he can have a consistent 2012 against all teams.
  8. I said I don't care. I hate PR but I know it's important - if he has another go I would do an Eddie and call up and challenge the bloke.
  9. A club without a coach shouldn't be making such a big decision as trading for Fev. It might just be an inquiry, and if it is, it could be anyone. I really doubt it is us.
  10. I don't think he will come to Melbourne either. I think Brisbane will agree to a compromise with Fremantle. But does that mean that we shouldn't ask the question and give the offer? Of course, it doesn't. If you don't ask, you won't recieve. And if it means we miss out on a Lisle or a Walsh then that is one of the pitfalls of trade week - there are 17 other clubs out there trying to get ahead of their 17 competitors. And I have a feeling that a decision will be made with enough time left in trade week.
  11. I don't care about perceptions but we should push back on this sort of BS. "Stands for nothing" is just the call of the lazy critic who doesn't know what he doesn't like but knows he doesn't like it.
  12. What a pathetic attitude. We may not sign him, but to say we shouldn't even try is pure syndrome.
  13. Oh noes... We could miss out on a worse player by trying to sign the better player?! What are we doing?!
  14. We are. And isn't it a roaring success...
  15. He is doing pretty well. 40 goals is a good return and kicked two or more goals in 13 of his 18 games. Always finds a way to contribute to the scoreboard.
  16. You know, I had no idea you were asking a question until the third question mark... And are those the only Freo players you are aware of? Suban, Ibbotson, De Boer, Duffield, and Mayne are possibly attainable and would trust their ability to get a game for us... Edit: Schammer is no longer playing footy. Retired.
  17. That's an odd leap from the "he's contracted for next year" line. We have nothing but space. We would like to stagger deletions on our list over years so we don't lose someone we don't want to. And Neeld might want to see if Bate can play a role in his gameplan.
  18. Not every post requires an exclamation point. And I am sure there are a couple of Freo players we would like to have...
  19. North are obviously doing what they should be doing - trying to get the best deal for North. Maric will leave and they can pick him up without much trouble. I don't sweat the small stuff like this so I don't really care. I am a little disappointed that we wasted Pick 21 but at this point it doesn't matter. Anything we get for AM is a bonus.
  20. I read it exactly the opposite - that we really don't want to deal. We have a disgruntled plaeyr who wants to leave, what is the best way to keep them? Put a price on their head no-one will meet. I don't know if they will negotiate but a first rounder for Bate isn't a negotiating position - it's a delusional attempt at stealing with malicious intent.
  21. He isn't a replacement for Jamar. His manager said that Freo saw him in the forward line and that excited him. If he comes here he will have the same opportunity. Jamar and Martin can rest in the forward line and Clark will stay there for most of the time. That will be the hypothetical structure.
  22. Do I agree with your two line dissertation - 'One must learn to kick on both feet to succeed in the AFL'? No. It helps to be able to kick on both feet but good one-sided players will always find a way to get out of trouble by moving onto their preferred foot or using your hands.
  23. You are a troll or you have an awful sense of humour with a username like that.
  24. We are trying to get things done. And if Clark was as much a waste of time he would tell us. No messing about here - his kid is in WA and if he is considering it he requires some time to discuss it with those around him.
  25. Yeah, and look who is now captain... Titles are titles, as you say, but the still meaningful when those with the title do, or in this case, don't live up to said title. You look to your captain when things aren't going well and what we say from Brad was awful body language, a dereliction of duties to Moloney, and pathetic messages after awful losses. The 'aww shucks' grin and nervous joking in the aftermath of 186 was a terrible message, or non-message, to send on the most important day of your captaincy. Brad has failed and will not be given the honour again.
