Phantom Drafts 2023
I think we'd be fools to select half forwards when elite mids and key position players are at the top of this draft. Shocked to see Curtain slide so much, just don't see it happening in real time.

Melksham set to play on in 2024
Make no mistake, Melksham is not here to just rehab. He wants a spot in a premiership side in 2024. He's hungry for success.

You have to look at this from a holistic perspective. 1. We need to treat our veterans right. This means honoring contracts and keeping a strong culture with our leaders. 2. Do we have enough spots on the list, and enough cap space to operate as we need to? We have several retirements and trades. It certainly looks like we have heaps of cap space and list spots to operate as we need to. 3. Do we have enough positional coverage in each position? Debatable, but having a spare forward will be useful for us. Midfield is looking a bit thin though. Not every player on our list will need to play in the 22. With rookie picks included we have the flexibility to retain our older players and have young players like Verall while having strong depth.

Farewell James Jordon

Manifesting Naughton to the dees- Farewell James Harmes
He has a Brandan Ellis vibe, would suit IMO- Elite decision makers
We would not need repeat entries if our efficiency entering and using it in the forward 50 was better...- Is our time at the top done?
I think the idea of a dee dynasty with Max winning multiple premierships is likely gone. But winning back to back or multiple premierships in 5 years was a dream anyway. With our current draft capital and list management, we will be locked in the top 8 for a long time to come.- Trade Rumours 2023
- Yze replacement
Life would have been very different if we got Leppitsch when he was available- Yze gets the Tigers Coaching Job
- Farewell Brodie Grundy
This deal will be done quickly and the trade value will be fair for both clubs. Both teams have good reputations of 'just getting it done'. Dees will not play hard ball, ain't our style and neither will Sydney. I expect the value to be around the 30 mark as we received.- TMac & Brown
We are going to be desperate for mature depth at Casey and we need to also maximize the development of Jefferson so I don't want to be clogging our foward line like this year. Jeffo should have the full year to be the no 1 guy at CHF.- TMac & Brown
I like this idea, would be good to provide support and knowledge to Adams and Turner- Jimmy Munro retires from VFL
Loved watching the Moose play, tackling machine- Nick Watson
Have become very keen on this acquisition. There are a couple elite kicking mids in the pool but only one of him. If we were to get him + McKerscher/Duursma we could release Kozzy for 80% midfield time. Spargo/Chandler just do not offer enough fire power and Watson has it in spades, as well as great decision making and disposal. Moving Kozzy to the midfield for 80% game time would fill a massive need for us too.- Farewell James Jordon
I do not see a huge upwards trajectory for Jimmy. Likely to be be pushed out by more talented younger players at any of the suggested clubs. Good luck to him, will have to be very smart about where he chooses to go. - Ben King
