  1. J Riewoldt - 6 goals in his 300th. If you’re not a fan, I urge you to not watch AFL 360 next week with Gerard and Slobbo. They might make a passing reference or 2 during the week.
  2. Yeah but he’s been making sloppy mistakes since channel 9 won the tv footy rights in 2002.
  3. He just struggled to identify who Trent Cotchin was, who I’m pretty sure has been around longer than IPhone 1’s.
  4. Genuinely felt like a Dees home game that night at the Gabba.
  5. Can anyone confirm if Lynch is playing tonight?
  6. Who do we want to win? Richmond so we can keep Brisbane away from top 2? Or do want to kill Richmond off for good?
  7. All but… Pending professor dodge ball’s decision in SA.
  8. Jon Ralph on Fox Footy is absolutely emphatic our game is now 7:25pm.
  9. Hawthorn’s injury list is next level and if we come with last week’s intensity we should have a comfortable win. It’s a big IF though.
  10. Agree with all that. Feels like tradition's going out the window in exchange for some much needed recouped COVID 19 funds. If the grand final is moved to Perth, you'd want to hope we haven't been locked down for at least 4 weeks. That way MFC members with guaranteed GF tickets will be able to fly over. If VIC is really that desperate to hold the GF, they'll magically adjust the formula.
  11. AFL grand final likely to be moved according to Tom Morris's opinion piece. I actually agree with his points. A special thanks to the NSW removalists and the returning family that had to duck into Coles to pickup that all important bottle of dishwashing liquid. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-latest-news-2021-grand-final-venue-covid-updates-mcg-deal-victoria-covid-lockdown-fixture-updates-tom-morris/news-story/b8b406ee23bb97f71ccf28335c640fe8
  12. You'd imagine by 7pm tonight. If no news by tonight, then games will surely stay as is.
  13. Given how we've performed against poor teams this year, percentage is the furthest thing from my mind. Just the 4 points will do thanks. Bank the wins and top 2 will look after itself.
  14. Or they move GC V Bulldogs to the night and we retain the 4:35pm slot??
  15. Agree with all that, but it's a risky move for the AFL to put a lot of their eggs in a state that is currently experiencing community transmission/mystery cases and won't hesitate to lock the state down by tomorrow if they have more numbers today.
  16. Can someone please tell me why they AFL sent 6 clubs to a state that has mystery cases and might be a case away from their own lock down this weekend? I get Gil and his boys have done a great job during the pandemic (with a lot of help from state govts) but this one might be a case of out smarting themselves.
  17. Very salient point indeed Jaded. We all need to sit on our lucky COVID couches that got us over the line for the Dogs and Lions games.
  18. Jon Ralph reporting that the St Kilda V Port game might get moved to Saturday afternoon to allow Port to get home that night. I wonder if our game gets moved to 7:25pm so channel 7 retain their Saturday night game. Not that it really matters as none of us can go…
  19. Much happier to play this game at the G rather than at Metricon, assuming it’s staying at the G. Any chance our game can get moved to 1:45 given that timeslot is now vacant? Seems a bit silly to have 2 twilight games go head to head while Saturday arvo is empty.
  20. Hope not. I'd rather play this game at the G in front of nobody where we need to log as many minutes as possible at the venue we'll be playing finals at. Our last 2 performances at the G have been far from impressive after a 6 week hiatus from the G.
  21. I'll be honest here - when I saw O Mac kick 2 goals as the sub for Carlton on opening night this year, I wished he was the sole McDonald on our list and not Tom. I may have even posted it in the round 1 non MFC thread.
  22. So the AFL is evacuating to a state that also has community transmission. Gil must really love the hub accommodation up there.
  23. Good. Hopefully nothing comes out of this little outbreak (no new cases today yet) and the Dees and Dogs will be at the G in round 20 in front of crowds.
  24. Be pretty damn annoyed. We're playing for top 2 and a loss here may very well cost us top 2 considering we play Geelong at Geelong which is our hardest game on the run home. Incidentally Hawks are $7 to win. In our 3 losses, the oppo was around the $4.50 - $5.00 mark. Therefore it would be a next level upset if we lose this one.
  25. Agree with all the above. I know we've missed plenty of games this year but if you're choosing between being locked out of the Hawks game or the rd 20 Dogs game or a finals game, most would be copping the Hawks game.
