100% Binman - Langdon’s injury was Round 10 v North at Marvel in 2022 and only a couple of years later is he back to his best. Tarryn Thomas hit Langers in a huge tackle while he was mid air and super vulnerable and then slammed him hard into the ground.

Trac is a great player but how many players in their mid 20s with horrific injuries ever get back to their pre-injury form or better? I’d suggest not many if at all. Jack Grimes and Jack Trengrove spring to mind…they were never the same after their major injuries. I’m not sure why any club would take that risk to be honest?

So we have to endure this every season until his contract is up?

If Trac retires next year - what is a fair compo from the AFL 1 or 2 first rounders?

Trac should have said he wanted to play for Carlton or Collingwood for family reasons.

We don’t know the full story but maybe Christian is also part of the supposed culture problem at the club?

I’m turning on Trac for turning on our club. Hiding in the shadows is a gutless move. His management are a disgrace and he’s responsible for wounding our club every day he says nothing. Trac is too gutless to say he wants a trade because of the chance it fails. So he wants to run our club into the ground so we have no other option. Pathetic.

I know, how about Trac plays down at Casey for 5 years. Enjoy the big crowds, good form and high off field earning / brand deals at a VFL Club.

So effectively Collingwood have destroyed our club by injuring Brayshaw and Petracca.

Curnow over McKay and a first rounder.

He’s only 22. I think we forget how young he still is and how far he has to go in his career.

Would take Curnow over McKay. Trac must really want to leave us if he’s not talking publicly. I reckon he’s pushing Blues hard to get a deal done before requesting a trade.

Who better to learn your ruck craft from than Gawn for another 3 years and then with possibly another flag under your belt move back home with a mega contract.

Imagine how much better our side would be if Luke Jackson in it? I think his loss to our side has been immeasurable since 2021… If only he didn’t miss the family Sunday roast…reckon we would have won the 2023 QF final against the Pies with Luke Jackson and we wouldn’t have gone chasing Grundy.

Imagine an alternate 2024 for the soon to be minor premiers the Swans. Before the season begins: - Dean Cox resigns to coach Richmond. - Back up ruckman Ladhams requests a trade to an interstate club. - Nick Blakey retires after repeated concussions. - Issac Heeney, Hayden McLean and Dane Rampe all have compromised preseasons. Then… - Oliver Florent breaks his collarbone in Opening Round and misses 2 months. - Corey Warner injures his Achilles and is out for the season. - Logan McDonald injures his knee after 5 games and doesn’t play senior footy again. - Taylor Adams is badly out of form with just 2 senior games all year. - Harry Cunningham has knee surgery mid-season and looks hampered for the rest of the year. - Errol Gulden has a season ending Grade 5 lacerated spleen, four broken ribs, and a punctured lung. Gulden’s management later leaks that he would leave the club if he wasn’t contracted. - Tom Papley had a disappointing season kicking half as many goals with half as many disposals than usual. - John Longmire is hospitalised with a serious skin infection mid season. - Tom McCartin is hospitalised after breaking his ribs in Round 21. - Issac Heeney plays with a broken hand and a PCL injury for most of the season but still ends up with a top 10 finish in the Bob Stilkton Medal. - Sam Wicks requests a trade to Adelaide for family reason. Does any of this sound familiar? Any other club would have had a season as bad as Richmond or North had they suffered the misfortunes we’ve endured all year especially with injury. Whatever the media narrative would have us believe - all things considered we’ve had a relatively successful year being in contention for finals up until the last few games and 11 wins. Here’s hoping we nail our preseason and the footy gods smile on us in 2025. Up the Red Leggers!
