If winning this game didn’t mean anything like oh I don’t know being top of the ladder - I’d have switched it off long ago.

Barassi - "….Bloody pissweak" Sums up this performance.
-
The fans don’t deserve this kind of performance.

[Censored] quarter. Absolutely pathetic. Not good enough. We will lose if we keep this up.
-
Pathetic Melbourne.
-
Dropping the ball!
-
Soft free.
-
Slow start but got the mojo going. Happy with 20 point lead.
-
BBB you star!
-
Good contest by Brown!
-
Show up Melbourne!

Stop handpassing over your head PLEASE!

Thoroughly enjoying ‘The Last Hurrah’ - really enjoying the history of the club and at a time where we had such a sustained period of success and MFCSS was unheard of. Supermercado should consider doing an audio book so we can listen to his dulcet tones. Was great to have him back as a guest on the Demonland Podcast. Will have to order his first book ‘The Great Deepression’ too!

Haven’t seen my Mum (who lives in Perth) since 2019. Due to fly out in 2 weeks time (had to reschedule a flight from June) and that’s probably not going to happen now… Made a decision that I’ll fly over every other year to go see a Dees game with her at Optus when we sort Corona out (hopefully).

Gee God Boy Wow! Results massively our way this week except for Carltank. Nice to reclaim top spot but means nothing if we don’t touch up the Hawks next week.
-
Geelong very lucky to play two teams who couldn’t kick straight (Carlton and Collingwood).
-
Is Carlton really this bad?
-
Hawks also sustaining injuries to both Scrimshaw and Brockman…
-
Thought we’d get touched up and happily proven wrong. Statement making win - again when we play our best we are very hard to beat. Just hope we bring that same level of intensity for the Hawks game. Anyone else confused by the holding the man decisions when the player is tackled and drops the ball? Infuriated me beyond no end last night.
-
If we play like we did yesterday even Hawthorn, Adelaide and the Gold Coast will touch us up. If we don’t sort out our issues soon we’ll end the season like North did in 2016. Anything other than a top 4 spot will be a disaster given the way we started the season.

Ben Brown surely in. Sounds like BBB only played a half for Casey - which means perhaps they’re already looking to keep him fresh for Thursday. Brown has proven AFL form and if he played today we may have won - with Weids we’d have been a playing a man short. From today’s display I’d be surprised if we didn’t have omissions for the Power game. If our mids don’t turn up and we play a tall short in our forward line - we will get touched up by Port and be 5th on the ladder.
-
Observations: - blind hand passes over the head which resulted in turn overs. - hospital hand passes killed us. - second men up spoiling the first player from taking a contested mark. (E.g. Jackson in clear position to mark and McDonald tries to come in over the top and spoils the mark).
-
Decision making - Poor. Clearances / Centre bounces - Slaughtered. Skills - Woeful. Goal Kicking - [censored] Forward Line - Tall short Did not deserve to win today, outplayed and lacking intensity. Deplorable effort yet again when we have everything to play for. Expected more from this side…

MFCSS not nearly as bad as Crows and Pies games. Big test today but we’re up for the challenge. Hoping for a four quarter game and a 26 point win!

Perplexed as to why BBB doesn’t get a game. Thought it would be the perfect game to return… If he was kept out because the the weather bet it won’t rain a drop on Saturday ? Prepared to trust the Selection Committee who have got us to 12-2 but I will be fuming if we get done by the Giants after kicking 6.17…
