We really did have a great run with injuries in 2021. The combination of a drop off in form, loading, injuries to key players and a very hard remaining fixture - starting to feel like it may not be our year.

Some players choose not to drink even when there’s a 7 day plus break. If we played the Pies on Friday night - none of them would be out drinking over the weekend…sadly the long break caused this fiasco not to mention weak judgement. Collingwood by 28 points.

Despite all the players out we still had kept Freo to 19 points in a half and were 25 up. To go 1 goal to 12 after half time was like watching the Melbourne of old. I don’t expect us to win every week but the manner of this loss hurts. We dropped our heads (all except Gawn) after half time and got touched up. It just matters how we turn up next week against the Swans. Will be huge. Lose that and the Pies will be smelling blood in the water.

How does Liam Ryan hit a bloke in the head nowhere near the ball and only gets 1 week? Ryan is lucky Bowser is made of tough stuff and played out the rest of the game. Chandler stiff to get 2 for that. Even 1 week would have been too severe. Absolute disgrace!

Yes as an MCC member when you’re paying your dues you get two add-on MFC membership types. One at something like $180 and the other at about $80 dollars to be MCC/MFC members. The $80 version doesn’t give you access to any away games so it’s essentially a donation. I always sign up but only with the $80 version but now that we’re a new force in the AFL and even an MCC membership isn’t a guarantee of a ticket to a GF - may need to see what other member options there are directly with the footy club. Hmmm - I’ll say 69,531.
