Have flown over to watch the game for a Bucks Party. Groom is a massive Eagles fan and he’ll be barracking hard for us to touch up the Dockers. I remember vividly the Round 11 game at Subi against the Dockers in 2004. Bucketed with rain and was a slopfest. Hoping the wet conditions will hurt Freo as it did against the Suns and Pies.

Luke Darcy should never be allowed to commentate another Dogs game. Darcy needs to learn a lot from Daisy about being impartial.

I’m not even sure we can win another game this season. Once Gawn was paid HTB I had to switch it off. Umpiring putrid but we’re just not playing anywhere near how we were last year. I’m going to the game in Perth next week. I think we’ll know how our season will ultimately go based on that result. Win and we gain back some respect and get ‘8’ points on a rival. Lose and top 4 is basically gone.

So Brisbane and Geelong both get challenged and manage to win. Melbourne lead for most of the game and then chuck it. Give it up. We’re not doing anything this year but making up the numbers.

Bloody hell. Freo get an extra 2 points so percentage counts for less in the top 4.

Wouldn’t mind some of our own players burning Fritta in open goal so he knows what it feels like…

Have a mate who’s a North supporter - he was shattered. His text below after the game is eerily similar to what I’d have been sending out 10 years ago. We know what they’re going through. “Could see it coming a mile a way. First 30 seconds of the last and I knew we’d stopped believing. Absolutely devastated.” All being well the Pies will crash and burn in the finals.

So they don’t pay holding the ball in the ruck contest or give May a free for holding and Hawkins scores. Absolute rubbish.

I’ll take the loss if it’s not a blow out and we have no injuries.
