  1. I wish Melbourne would put in a four quarter performance more often. Can only think of the Dogs game that we actually did that this season….
  2. Lest we forget North in 2016 - if we play like this after the Bye then that’s exactly what will happen.
  3. Everything to play for and we play like this. [Censored] this club. Why can’t we play four quarters? Why? Don’t even deserve to win this - if we somehow manage to.
  4. Hospital HB to Sparrow - not his fault.
  5. Our two Key forwards having shockers today. Hope BBB automatic in against Bombers.
  6. Who’d have thought we’d be this disappointing to watch when we’re supposed to be a good side…
  7. Not good enough! Lift Melbourne!
  8. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/modest-daniher-recognised-for-crusade-against-mnd-20210613-p580lx.html Incredibly happy for Neale and his family. Should have had the AO the first time in 2016 when he got an AM. Well deserved recognition! Should be Australian of the Year too IMHO!
  9. Oh that hurts! So glad to see the Toigs chuck that one ? especially given their next 5 games…. Over to you Freo ??
  10. TMac is a great example for Weiderman to follow. It is possible to turn your career around very quickly. BBB had a shocking 2020, injuries and no real match fitness so to be fair he’s coming off a very low base. I look at how much better the Cats are with the class of Cameron in their ranks and I hope long term BBB can be that for the Dees. I and I’m sure all demonlanders feel much better about Monday knowing that Langdon is back in the squad ?.
  11. No disrespect to M.Brown, but I can’t understand why B.Brown can’t get into this team. Has to be match fitness or his knee. If we traded for B.Brown knowing full well he couldn’t fit into our forward line or into how we play then we were really stupid. You won’t find another team this year with a 60 goal a year forward who can’t get a game. Weideman does not deserve another game. I’d much rather have M.Brown in than Sam. He’s at least capable of taking a contested mark.
  12. Loved the astonished look on Hipwood’s face the moment he’s finally called for a push in the back…?
  13. Whatever ultimately happens this year, I really hope the club is documenting this season…its been so special thus far and hopefully will continue to be. Been a long time since ‘Hotter than Hell’! Shame that ‘Making Their Mark’ was last year and not this year - probably enough content for Season 2 but focused on other clubs?
  14. The games we win like this are all the sweeter for having sat at Optus Stadium for the 2018 Preliminary Final being abused by West Coast supporters and hearing the moronic ‘Eagles’ chant throughout the whole last quarter…. We all have our horror stories over the years but we’ve never stopped loving this club and how much it means to us especially for the supporters in Victoria right now. So proud of this group of players and coaching staff - we have a team full of genuine and emerging stars. The scary thing is we still have room for improvement - even after beating the inform top 4 team, with a 42 point turn around, who were on a 7 game winning streak…. Can’t wait for the Pies!
  15. Ed Langdon cannot be replaced like for like. He’s a HUGE loss for us - devastating news from an incredibly impressive win last night. Baker very unconvincing in the North game…and no chance this weekend to make his claim with the VFL cancelled. ANB or Hunt on the offensive wing for mine - all have a good tank and have improved their disposals. #positivelingers
  16. In: Salem, Brown, Sparrow Out: Jetta, Weideman, Melksham Shouldn’t forget that BBB has kicked 173 career goals at Docklands! He could have 0 possessions in the VFL and it doesn’t change my view that he’s in our best 22.
  17. 18.10.2 Free Kicks - Out of Bounds (pg54 of the 2021 Laws of Australian Football) A field Umpire shall award a Free Kick against a Player who: (b) Kicks, Handballs or forces the football over the Boundary Line and does not demonstrate sufficient intent to keep the football in play; Not only did Nick Murray look towards the boundary line as he handballed it directly out of bounds - he made no reasonable attempt to the keep the football in play according to the Laws of Australian Football. Whether the ball did or did not deflect from Spargo is irrelevant if the player (Murray) had no intent in keeping the ball in the field of play in the first place. An apology from the AFL would be something but it has no value as the four points are still lost. No matter how badly we underperformed we were clearly ‘robbed’ of an opportunity to draw or win the match from that non-decision.
