I was at the game at the MCG last year when GWS beat us. Melbourne were listless, flat and seemed disinterested. About a week later I went to an MND fundraiser night where David Schwarz spoke, and he categorically stated that Melbourne would win the premiership. When I said that I had been at the game on the weekend against GWS and they looked far from premiership contenders, he said that Burgess had really upped their training loads and that was why they were so flat. He said that barring injuries they would win and he was right!! I would like them to smash the orange maggots.

I work shift work, generally the game times don’t worry me as long as I can get the train home after!!

The Hobart Devils were an NBL team, and I would assume that they still have the rights to the name.

Hi Everyone, I am watching the footy tonight and Fox Footy are advertising the Melbourne vs Bombers game starting at 6.30pm followed by the Showdown at 8.30pm. My ticket says start time is 7.20pm. Can anyone confirm the start time for me please?

Hi Everyone, after watching us unfurl our beautiful flag Wednesday night, I am heading up to the Coast the following week to watch us play the Suns. Is there any reason why I should pay for a premium ticket rather than just general admission? Should I drive to the ground? Any other hints about visiting Metricon would be much appreciated. Cheers

I'm sure everyone on here has their own story of the games they went to over the years, the heart breaks, the embarrassments, the disappointments, the great memories too, but for me personally, I have never enjoyed a finals series and post Grand Final more. I'm sure everyone is like me and has a photo or a video of them celebrating. This is me and my 90 year old Dad. We have been to hundreds of games together over the years, and while we couldn't enjoy the game together because of lockdown, my son and I visited him post game. With the outstanding success of Jake Bowey towards the end of the year, and with a lack of VFL football being played, does anyone have any inside news on how Bailey Laurie and Fraser Rosman are progressing? Hard to break in to such a strong team, but would be good to know how they are progressing the right way.

Was Petracca turning around and waving to the feral Essendon [censored] in the crowd, who no doubt had been giving Christian some goal kicking advice. And THEN, when he kicks the goal, and gives him a great big smile and a wave, the Essendon [censored] appealing to the umpires saying words to the effect of "Can he do that?" At least the Swans supporter with the huge hand who bagged Tom McDonald in the same situation had the class to clap him after he kicked the goal and acknowledge that Tom won that one. You could add up may hatred for every other club together and it wouldn't even come close to my absolute loathing of every Essendon supporter on the planet, including my mother and 2 of my brothers.

One of the things that has impressed me so far in 2021, is the fact that last night, playing in a huge game against another title contender, we had 7, yes SEVEN players with 26 games experience or less in our 23 man squad. Pickett-26 Rivers-21 Jordon-12 Jackson-17 Petty-17 Sparrow-15 Baker-15 Unless he is doing stuff that I don't see, and fulfilling a role for the coaches which we aren't aware of, I can see Bowey coming in for Melksham at some stage, making us even stronger. But it also reinforces how important drafting and player development will be in the next few years when we have low draft choices, and need to find some diamonds in the rough.

Before the first game this year, one of the commentators said that the Melbourne coaching panel had likened him to Simon Black. My first thoughts were "OMG, why would you say that about a kid and put so much pressure on him". But, it looks like they might be on the right track with him.

I'm not sure about resting players, but I would like to see people who are performing well in the seconds rewarded. I would like to see some of the young players given a sniff of what it's like so in the case of needing to play them in big games/finals, we aren't throwing them to the wolves. No matter how successful we become, we always need to be looking to the future.

Slight change of topic, but can anyone tell me how I go about getting tickets for Melbourne vs Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval? Any advice much appreciated.
