Hibberd Ruled Out of Cats Clash with Quad
Do the players wear full leg compression at training? During winter I think it should be compulsory.

Wagner in for mine. We will survive.

Andrew Gaff
All reports seem to indicate we can re-sign Gus etc and fit Gaff in.

Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
I'm also happy we don't leak on what we are doing, or don't announce it in the press like Norf do.

Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
One of the AFL [censored] journos, Nick Bowen I think, was 90% sure on a podcast yesterday Sloane was going to the Hawks. Nice try [censored].

Our workrate
It's all on the midfielders and half forwards. The pressure applied once the ball turns over is non-existent. Around stoppages it is fine, but once it clears the contest it is too easy for opposition players to get it inside forward 50. Collingwood game and last Sunday were perfect examples. Not enough pace or gut running in the midfield.

There are times where advantage is called then the umps change their mind when something like yesterday happens, so Lewis would have gone back and taken his kick. Not this time!! Also noticed the 'play on' call about 2 seconds after a mark was taken still in vogue for us yesterday. AFL are looking like they are using the umpires to get desired ladder positions. NRL have been doing this for years.

What a terrible article.

Run home to Finals - 2018
I had us ending up third at 15-7. Seventh was also 15-7. Our percentage if it holds up is almost worth an extra win.

I think it works pretty well. Other than the Patriots getting the 50/50 calls go their way, the NFL is well officiated. Pass interference and defensive/offensive holding are probably the most subjective decisions, as most of the other fouls are either there or not (e.g. defensive offside, false start). It is like Rugby League in that the movement is not 360 degrees, plus all fouls except Defensive Pass Interference have set penalties, and the yard markers mean a 50 can't be 75 or 35 for example. Surely for 50 metre penalties the umpire awarding the 50 could stand at the place of the infringement and the umpire in the next zone moves to the mark with the help of a laser marker generated from the first umpires' GPS tracker.
