Been watching a few Adelaide and Bullies games to have a look at Bernie Vince and Daniel Cross. Bernie looks to be a really good highly skilled player.

I'm surprised the Bummers didn't move the party to Hird's place in response. Hird didn't start the 'I'm bigger than the club' thing - Sheedy did that and it took a man with cojones - Peter Jackson - to do what was 2-3 years overdue, but Hird obviously liked what Sheedy had put in place and is using it to great effect. The Kool Aid drinkers at Tullamarine continue to lap it up. This does not happen at any other club.

Played around 15 games for Alexandra Hills Bombers in Brisbane (somewhere in lower division ammos) in the early 90s and 7 games for OHA reserves in the Hobart Old Scholars league in 2006. The Ships' (OHA) club song is It's A Grand Old Flag and it was awesome to belt it out after my first game which was the teams' only win for the season. I've been playing soccer the last 10 years and the club I play for had a social Aussie Rules game the other week. Managed 10 touches playing mainly fullback and somehow roosted a kick-in past the centre line - it was on a high school oval though so it was only a 60 metre kick but it did roll another 20-25 after getting a sweet bounce. EDIT: did a quick Google and the Bombers song was also It's A Grand Old Flag and wear red and blue, but like Port Melbourne. Could not remember either.

Talking about that - #1 [censored] Damian Barrett said Norf were the big winners out of the trade/free agency period.

This is exactly I thought the Bombers should have been excluded from free agency this year in addition to the first tw rounds of the draft (with also no ability to trade back in). They will get it done in FA and most likely trade back into the first two rounds, which effectively means no penalty. I do hope Col stays.
