Wasn't sure where to ask this, but the few weeks the team was a bit flat (Collingwood, Port, St Kilda) - would that have coincided with a heavy block of training? I remember a few years back or more, the good teams did heavy blocks of training from around the middle of the season for around 4 weeks, then taper off before finals.
