Last year we put on 8000 between now and the end of the season. And at a time when fans knew they wouldn't be able to see a game live in Melbourne. I said at the start of the season, 65k would be a pass, 70k would be a good result.

I think the days of MCC members being rich snobs are pretty much over. It's no longer about 'who you know', but rather, 'how long are you willing to wait'. AFL memberships cost about the same.

Other than the health concerns of those affected I see this as nothing but positive. Gives us a chance to blood some new talent and see how they perform on the big stage. Can't wait to see who comes in. Demonland podcast gave a good summary of who's been playing well in the VFL.

Yesterday I dropped my kids at holiday program - out of the 15-20 kids there were 3 wearing melbourne jumpers. And this was not a 'footy colours day' or 'dress up day', just 3 little legends wearing their jumpers with pride! 18 months ago you would not see this. Go Dees!!

Last year we added 10k from here on, which would put us around 67k. But we should do even better than last year considering we can actually watch the games and finals live!!!

This is quality reading, what a difference a year makes! I still find it so strange to listen to analysts, commentators and football fans talking about how good we are instead of: 'when we they going to sack their coach' or 'who will they pick up as their number one draft option'... So good.

Nothing wrong with 3 game memberships.... Im sure all clubs would offer these and they are a great option for people that want to support the club but can't get to games. I used to buy this one before the MCC/MFC option was available. At least we don't do pet memberships!! And since when are we doing buy one get one fee memberships? I havent seen these advertised anywhere but from St Kilda.

Good news is this has put Bevo and the Dogs in the Spotlight (and for all the wrong reasons). Happy for us to fly under the radar for as long as possible!!!

I agree, we must have missed out on a few thousand memberships in the second half of last season. There was no incentive to buy a membership when the remaining games and finals were all being played interstate.

100%. To my disgust, my 7 year old was barracking for the Tigers until last year. All he had ever really known was Tiger success. Now he's a Demon, and allowed to sleep in inside the house the again :-)

Wow, lower than expected. I know we have much higher Instagram followers than many of those teams, it jumped up about 30 thousand during the finals. Not sure about Facebook. Would be great to add those two columns if you have time!

We have just over 20% of the 130,000 MCC members. Not sure how many of those are already dual members...

I agree, 65k if we have a solid year. You can see from George's table that it's a pretty slow burn from March onwards... There are a couple of unknowns this year - the flag and (hopefully) being lockdown-free compared to the past two seasons. However, I think most of this would have already been factored into the tally. The clubs usually have a big membership drive day in partnership wth SEN. That normally adds a couple of thousand. I don't think we've had that yet.

I chose scarf too, only reason is if we win another premiership it become a bit of a collectors item (no $ value, just emotional value). I'll be wearing my 2021 scarf to games for the next 50 years!
