TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
Yeah exactly. Thereās nothing spectacular about him that draws attention to himself, but what he does for the team is damaging and creates problems if heās allowed to do what he wants. Alsoā¦. One of my favourite things in footy is learning about which players other clubs rate as having to concentrate onā¦ Tom Mitchell is a prime example of the opposite, gets a lot of glory for gaining possessions but doesnāt do much damage.

Man I REALLY want Bedford to be a part of the team. He offers glimpses that he could become a gun player if heās able to continually get games at AFL level. I feel like heās one of those guys that needs to play at AFL level to gain confidence and grow into the player he could be. Donāt really have any other reason than a āfeelingā about him. I donāt know if this carries across, but thereās some cricketers that are good at state level without dominating, then when they get into international teams and play at that level for a while, they turn into absolute guns and do dominate. This is Bedford I reckon. Saying that though, if I look at our Premiership lineupā¦ I donāt know who he replaces and is able to keep out long enough form him to string games together.

Totally agree about ANB. Other club supporters donāt rate him at all (which I actually like) but heās definitely in the āinner club superstarsā group like Spargo and Kozzie (although Kozzie still gets a lot of fan fare obviously) for what they do for the team. Was a very noticeable difference without ANB in the team.

Mmmm playing like trash is extremely harsh. Iād watch West Coast right now if you really wanna see trash. Weāll hit our straps about 6/7/8 rounds out from finals and roll in with a head of steam. Great teams follow this formula and have been for as long as Iāve watched footy. No point being in form at the wrong time of year.

And even though we are playing nowhere near our best at the moment and have lots of room to improve, we are still winningā¦ Would you like to be in form now? Or heading into final?

Becoming a big fan of Toby Bedford. Also, anyone else think our forward line looked more dangerous when Weid and Brown were playing up the ground? It felt like their defenders didnāt know who to go to and we made use of more options.

No, I get that heās playing for his spot, but in a team built on anti-selfish playā¦ itās makes him stick out as being for himself.

I really like the look of Brown and Weid playing up the ground. Means oppo defenders canāt double team our forwards, everyone becomes a target.

22-0 or 21-1
I was confident at half time to be honest, we absolutely dominated them the entire game and I was sure the goals would come. Good teams will inevitably score when the ball is locked in their forward half for so long. The obvious thing is kicking for goal and this happens from time to time. The one thing I did notice that others have mentioned already elsewhere, is that we were selfish at times with shots for goals. Weāre at our best when instead of having a crack, we look inside for a better option or at least give the chance for a Spargo/kozzie/Fritsch to crumb a goal. To be fair, a couple of Richmond players absorbed a lot of our entriesā¦ it was just that we had so many. Saying that, we address that in our forward line and thereās no reason we canāt go undefeated. I personally wouldnāt like to be undefeated for my own anxiety levels going into finals, haha

Still confident weāll win by 3-4 goals. Weāll get a run on goals in the 4th as Richmond get tired. All theyāve done is chase.
