What a disgracefully anti-demonland comment.

I’m confused, so it wasn’t a unanimous decision? Or am I misunderstanding?

PODCAST: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
If I’m not mistaken, Goody said for the last half or third of games last year, he reverted back to the older style of slower, contested ball because he wanted to stay in the games. IMO, this actually cost him time for the team to be able to adapt. He needed to stay the course during those games. Instead we lost a lot of those games anyway, people became frustrated that things weren’t changing and it bled into this year with the losses we had. He tried to stem the bleeding and was reactive in doing so, which just ate up time and patience for a lot of fans, in my opinion.

Ok, you started off talking about this whole thing saying: ‘Happy to reiterate for those who don’t understand football and Energetics’ Flow state and Taoism are not Energetics. Energy in physics/hard science disciplines is not the same as someone’s level of focus/state of mind or ‘Qi’. You’re going to have a tough time helping people to understand a word that you also don’t know the meaning of.

Energetics is the study of energy, as in the scientific use of the word energy to mean ‘capacity to do work’ alah Physics/biochemistry etc. So what exactly is it you’re referring to when you use the word energetics and how is it a ‘subtle’ philosophy? Can you reference someone else using this word?

What are you referring to when you say energetics? Do you understand energetics?

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Had a look at the whole years stats and it’s: Hit outs: 768- 620 Clearances: 730-736 Centre Clearances 255-240 Stoppage - 475-496 So we’ve won a truck load more hit outs but as other have mentioned, our mids aren’t taking advantage. Whatever the reason for the disconnect, we’re +148 for hit outs but -12 for all clearances.

Would Maxy (or any senior Ruck) have input with the mids coach as to the set up? Or is there no collaboration and it’s totally dictated too by said coach?

Knowing how to win
I listened to an interview with fitness coach Andrew Russel about his time at Carlton (he was at Hawthorn during their golden era) and he said two things that really stuck out to me: Carlton had a mindset of losing. They were used to losing and that becomes ingrained in players and the culture. He said in the Prelim where they lost to Lions from being 5 goals up, they were 2 points down at half time but he was confused, as the feeling in the rooms was they were down by 10 goals. At the end of that game, he was expecting everyone to be angry/heartbroken at the loss, but instead Carlton was cheered off the ground in that game and he found the whole thing bizarre as that just wasn’t ever a mindset he experienced at Hawthorn. He basically said there was the big disconnect between what was happening and everyone’s response. Makes me wonder about these close losses.

52-30 hit outs to us resulting in: 31-46 clearances 10-19 centre clearances 21-27 stoppage clearances So our rucks smashed them in hit outs to dogs advantage it seems.

We kicked 4.0 in that last qtr, which is great considering most games we only managed anywhere from 0-2 goals, didn’t fade out as I feared we were going too. Thought we brought the pressure as the game went on. We may not turnover the ball more or less than other teams, but I feel like when we do, it’s a BAD turnover. Turnovers that cost us when we have momentum and gift them goals.

He’s almost the only player in our team that I’d back most times to be able to do this.
