CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
At the time BBB looked a fair step off the pace of AFL footy, I think the decision at the time was right. Hopefully BBB is fitter now and can replace a struggling SW

Do you trust Melbourne
- CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Looks like @Dwight Schrute went in to bat for me so I wont argue/repeat the same points. I really like Sam, this is the first time I've thought we should drop him because he hasn't done enough. He has been invisible for weeks and either M or B Brown would be better in the team right now Hope you both have a great day fellas- Do you trust Melbourne
we should be fine, at least our losses (4 points) are going to teams that won't compete rather than top 8-10 sides- CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
The VFL form was 7-8 weeks ago and now he's had 5 games of no impact at AFL, that's the point.- CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Weideman has no form either and he's played the games- Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
Problem with Sam is he has never kicked more than 3 goals in a game and has only had more than 13 disposals once in his career. He just doesn't have the runs on the board after 49 chances. Players the same age as him are performing so really theres no excuses anymore. He is a great VFL Player who cannot perform on an oppositions best defender, Ben Brown can. We are going for a flag this year so we can't wait for him to get his confidence or whatever he needs to perform. He needs to perform this year, now.- GAMEDAY: Rd 13 v Collingwood
Playing in front of a crowd (any crowd) is also a big draw- Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Is he nominating for this years draft?- Nathan Buckley Steps Down as Collingwood Coach
I think this is a really bad move for the Pies. With the instability with the board, the only stability they had was the coaching staff and now they wont have that there. A bunch of senior players about to drop off, it will take them 4-5 years to play finals again... which I am sure we all won't mind- Nathan Buckley Steps Down as Collingwood Coach
That is what I am thinking, funny when one club forces another's hand- Neale Daniher on AFL 360
Robbo is a horrible interviewer- Brayden Maynard
No need to be rude, I am asking for you to be more specific. Which players and why?- Brayden Maynard
What are the mature age players unhappy about?- Welcome back to Demonland: Tayla Harris
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/cats-to-pounce-on-dees-defender-as-harris-trade-heats-up-20210607-p57yx3.html Interesting that in this article her manager denies the accuracy of the 150k price tag and article confirms the most she will be paid is 37k. Maybe less off field duties at Melbourne was attractive? I really don't care what any player gets paid, Just play your role- Nathan Buckley Steps Down as Collingwood Coach
Yes. Buckley has a great footy mind and Collingwood are foolish to get rid of him. Its quite clear they don't have the cattle at the club to compete- Nathan Buckley Steps Down as Collingwood Coach
The only reason NB would be standing down would be if they got Ross Lyon- Goal kicking accuracy
Something I find interesting is team goal kicking accuracy percentage in the afl ranges from 40.5% to 55.1% and in the NBA it ranges from 42.9% - 49.8% (including 3's) or 49% to 57.6% (excluding 3's) So for professional athletes in a sport that doesn't have a goal keeper, the average chance a player has to score is still pretty much 50%- Other great comebacks
It sure is, I am going to do the same today :)- Other great comebacks
Also this game against reigning premiers Brisbane in 2002 Scores during the second quarter were Melbourne - 15 Brisbane - 53 and we ended up winning by 21 points.- Other great comebacks
The 2006 elimination final is one of my favourite comebacks. St Kilda got out to a 27 point lead in the second quarter after Fraser Gherig kicked 3 goals in 4 minutes and then this happened... All pumped up on adrenaline he thought he could run around NC and rolled his ankle, from then we fought back to be 9 points down at 3/4 time then kicked the last 5 goals of the game. There was a St Kilda family of 5 sitting a couple rows in front of us at the MCG. Every time St Kilda kicked a goal they cheered "Goals, Goals, Goals, WHOOOO" with hand actions and everything. When we hit the front I couldn't help myself and yelled goals goals goals whoo as we kicked on to win the game. I'll never forget the absolute joy I had at the final siren. Did not know or think that it would be the last final I would attend until 2018- Rating 2021 team Against 1998, 2000 & 2018
This 2021 team would smash any previous Melbourne side ever just based on fitness level and defensive structure. Every previous Melbourne side would be gassed by half time, especially from pre 1980's- University research on fans' views of racism in the AFL
