  1. All fine, but we have not brought in the best people. We are seven years into what PJ stated and started. Still no stable coaching, List full of holes, Poor team performances, No home base. Beyond that what other GF winning Club has not one true supporter/player in the four key posts.
  2. Not a compaison . We have no true Dees in the four key posts. Tigers had Peggy and Gale as passionate players/supporters.
  3. Those four guys are like haviing local people running a foreign owned company. Guns for sale Bartlett Played for WC Pert Played for Fitzroy Mahoney Played for Port Goodwin Played for Adelaide.
  4. Well, it was not shrewd. It was an AFL influenced decision to get out of the poker/gambling industry.
  5. Nice pick up, as soon as I started reading your first paragraph I thought, that is not right. We were not the original powerhouse. Reminds me of a friend who was in PR. He was a master at retaining bits of information on a client but it was never the full picture. Same ability to speak with absolute authority. I do not and have never thought he has had any substance.
  6. The 195cm defender has taken the most intercept marks (36) of any player in the competition since round three, placing him ahead of pre-eminent interceptors Alex Rance (Richmond), Jeremy Howe (Collingwood) and Michael Hurley (Essendon). Lever has conceded just three goals in nine games – the best return of any key defender who has played six or more games in 2017. Garbage article with selected stats, Article written in early June of the year stated. .
  7. I was not alone calling what you have predicted a while back. I believe Clubs like the Cats literally have not only the names of players written with the year they will seek to acquire them but the means and stategy to get them. Petracca pencilled in at the Hawks I reckon. And yes to Jacko and Kossie. Poor recruitement strategy.
  8. Now it makes sense. Three quarter time on the weekend. Crunch time. Gawn and Viney walk to the huddle , not a word spoken between them. Both in their own little world. I expect Viney to go hell for leather these next two weeks to show MFC what they are going to lose. Some may laugh but I reckon if we had recruited Wines and Viney together this situation would never have occured.
  9. I have had a funny feeling since the day he said he and his brothers go to Sandy oval and do 100x100 runs on Christmas morning. Massively competitive within the family unit. The running bit just seemed odd and gee it must have been at a slow pace.
  10. And you kinda think he would be organised into a strict role at the Cats to bring about individual and team success. Added to that Geelong play an exciting brand of footy.
  11. Seems obvious. It is a Geelong set play. They have seen Jack at his best against their three stars, especially in 2018. It is another tragedy. Jack may be tempted and some fans will be for it. All because we have not had adaquete coaching or team structures to individually improve Jacks game or help him achieve team success.
  12. So true RN. I think when Goody told the players at half time to not play boring, what does that mean? enormously confused the players if he hasnt carefully explained they will not be held accountable for being daring and making the odd mistake, Malcolm Blight style. We do not know but I think it might be in the messaging RN
  13. Hey AF. You might have sounded knowlegeble making me sound outdated defended Goodys full man/ part man presses but like to hear you debate Luke Hodge who ridiculed our defence. Luke Hodge says Melbourne’s lack of uncontested possessions in Monday night's loss to Fremantle exposed the side’s defensive frailties. The Demons went down by 14 points in wet and windy conditions at Cazaly's Stadium in Cairns, losing the uncontested possession count by a whopping 108.If Hodge was a leader at Melbourne, he would immediately question their defensive mindset and whether certain players in the side were “only worried about getting the ball”. “When you’re in those conditions, it’s usually a surge game and contested style of football,” the four-time premiership Hawk told SEN’s Whateley. 00:00 of 01:48Volume 0% “Fremantle last night had 206 uncontested possession to Melbourne’s 98 and what that shows me is defensively you’re not switched on so you’re only worried about getting the ball. “If I was captain, I would be looking at that and saying, ‘Where’s you’re effort defensively?’, as soon as you bring defensive effort and shut down half those uncontested possessions, it makes Fremantle doubt themselves and then they’ll start making mistakes. “The way Melbourne defended against them, Freo could do whatever they wanted so that would be the first thing I would (point out) – don’t worry about offensively getting the ball before their midfield can find the ball. “Where they need to start focusing is defensively and making the opposition doubt and putting fear in their mind so when they do get the ball, they make mistakes and they can score from turnover. “They need to dig deeper on the defensive end.” Melbourne now face an uphill battle to play finals after two losses in the space of five days, which leaves them in 10th spot with two games left to play.
  14. GC are playing a good brand of footy. I got laughed at here early season when I said GC have gone past us as a Club. Young list world class facilty, good coach, exciting game plan, happy playing group. Tell your son to ask for Ben in Membership.
  15. Surely draft planning for a new home ground is Stage 1 of a development. How does that with no details of a exact location become a Phase 11. Corporate jibberish. Not unlike Goodwin.
  16. Jack due to his courage and family name has had a terrific go with the media. If jack eants to go we need to accept it. I am starting to think young Rivers has shown as much as Jack in his first year and we gotta keep searching for the right mix. Different story if he wants to stay and accept a modified on ball role.
  17. Yes, but with their 2 key forwards out and anyway, so what?
  18. I believe it is a matter of what would we look like without him and how easy to replace him. Could others get the ball he gets? Yes, mostly as he often gets other players ball instead of making position. Could a replacement be more team oriented? Yes. Will we miss his competitive spirit? Much tougher question and it is a yes and no as he has rarely lifted us to a win like other star mids. Will others shine in his absence? Very likely So for me it comes down to, what are you offering?
  19. Good stuff but I am genuinely fearful that pert will confirm Goody has some learning and make no mistake we will leave no stone unturned in making the MFC the very best it can be and challenging for a flag in the next few years. And yes in rsponse to your query about a home game, well Covid has delayed that a bit but we have some very exciting news you will all hear about soon. Fianlly we truly do value our supports and thank you for sticking with us as we strive for success.
